The guest studio is north facing with large windows and panoramic views of thoroughbred farmland and the Kaimai Ranges. The private courtyard is the perfect area to absorb the beauty and tranquility of farm life and watch the sunset on the horizon. Inside, the room has been fitted with quality fixtures; a comfortable king size bed and queen sofa bed (made up on request), a luxurious double shower and modern kitchenette area. In winter it is beautifully sunny and warm. Perfect for a romantic treat or get-away!

Kylie and Family were most welcoming - with thoughtful touches for our arrival at their property. The unexpected homemade treats were delicious! The accommodation was luxurious, comfortable and considered. Decor and furnishings were total luxe!

Perfect host and lovely accommodation

Wonderful Stay

This was a perfect fit for my parents and aunties visiting for the weekend. The hosts were amazing and accomodation was cozy and warm. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again for sure.

Great property for our 2 night stay. Hobbiton around 20 minutes away by car. Plenty of restaurants in nearby Matamata. We particularly liked The Osteria recommended by Kylie our host. The property is spotlessly clean. Kylie provided us with a continental breakfast with freshly baked bread and homemade yoghurt. Kylie was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend

Instant Relaxation

Kylie was fantastic from all aspects. Every details was attended to. The space was just amazing and Kylie was so accommodating. We would look for excuses to return to Matamata just to return. We wish we had a longer stay.

The best place ever!

Seriously such an amazing stay. Kylie was so sweet and the place was perfect. Loved the baked bread and breakfast treats. Super clean and cozy. Loved all the set up for the place, couldn’t believe all the details they provide. She gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the area. Wish we could stay longer. Will definitely stay again if I get to come back. Couldn’t be happier(:

Every detail covered

This was our favorite and most memorable stay during 2 weeks of traveling around NZ. Kylie and Logan designed a warm and welcoming space with thoughtful touches everywhere you look: fresh fruit, Nespresso, quality tea, games, charging cables. Such a welcome surprise in the middle of our road trip. We wish we had planned a longer stay in Matamata.

Fantastic Property close to Hobbiton

We had an absolutely fabulous time staying at the Matamata Country B & B. We could not have asked for a more perfect hostess Kylie was absolutely wonderful. Everything was spotlessly clean, there was homemade bread milk, eggs, and juice on arrivals. She even made us delicious banana bread on Saturday. It was in the perfect location just outside the cute downtown and very close to the Hobbiton. The views were beautiful and everything was decorated to the perfect combination of modern and country. It was very comfortable for three women traveling together and Kylie could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend the MataMata B and B and we would definitely stay there again.
