Oceanfront Retreat Beachfront and Nature

Gorgeous views from every room in your beachfront home. Soak up the sun and be mesmerized by the shimmering waters of the Northumberland Strait. At low tide, stroll to private Ephraim Island or dig for fresh clams. Wake up to magnificent sunrises and roast marshmallows by the campfire while appreciating beautiful sunsets and moonrises. Four decks offer close-up views of nature and the seaside.

Skylights in the upper-floor bedrooms allow you to gaze at the night sky filled with bright stars. The master bedroom features a private balcony to enjoy morning coffee while watching birds soar across the water.

Perfect spot to stay while exploring Atlantic Canada, with easy access to major highways and scenic backroads. Walk huge sandbars for family fun. The water is warm and calm, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Beach access is available via a year-round walking path.

A well-equipped kitchen featuring a gas range, dishwasher, and everything needed to create gourmet meals. Board games, books, toys, pack 'n play, and highchair provided for family comfort and fun.

15 minutes to the bridge to Prince Edward Island, 55 minutes to Moncton, and 35 minutes to Amherst, Nova Scotia.

Guests will love the clever design of the chalet that brings the ocean into the interior spaces.

The night sky is perfect for stargazing, and the rawness of the countryside and Nature Reserve protected lands are ideal for exploring flora and fauna.

*NOTE:
The private beach stairs are temporarily unavailable due to recent shoreline changes. Beach access is available via a nearby pathway, approximately a 2-minute walk away.

There is a separate rental property next door that shares the driveway and beach stairs.

Children must be supervised by an adult during their stay.

Extra linen, towels, cleaning supplies, books, board games, horseshoes, and yoga equipment are provided.

Infant high chair, pack 'n play crib, kids' dishes, toys, and books are available upon guest request before arrival.

Lawn maintenance, repairs, and pest control may occur, and guests will be provided with advance notice when possible. There is potential for noise.

No parties or unregistered guests. Max occupancy is 6 guests, including children. Quiet Hours:11:00 PM – 8:00 AM Please keep noise to a minimum, especially outdoors, out of respect for our neighbours.
Check-in: 5 PM | Check-out: 11 AM. Turn A/C off, close all windows, and return furniture to its original place. Early check-in and late check-out aren't available to allow time for thorough cleaning.
Please leave the chalet as you found it, clean and tidy. Wash used dishes,wipe down counters,dispose of trash in the bins provided,and clean up after meals to help keep the space fresh and hygienic.

Stunning location and a beautiful home. The beach was perfect for long walks at low tide and swimming at high tide. The house was tastefully decorated, very clean, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.Our biggest disappointment was the late 5:00 p.m. check-in. When you’re paying for a full day, arriving that late really cuts into your time. Most VRBOs we’ve stayed at over the years have had a 2:00 p.m. check-in. Christine was lovely to deal with and kindly accommodated us an hour early, allowing us to check in at 4:00 p.m., which we appreciated. Even so, by the time you unpack and make supper, the evening is nearly over, so it feels like you only get about a day and a half to enjoy the property.The only other downside was the beds. All of us agreed that upgrading to comfortable pillow-top mattresses would make this an easy 5/5 experience and it would have been nice to have the beach stairs available to use. Despite those three issues, we would absolutely come back for the location alone—it’s truly stunning. One last tip for future guests: bring plenty of bug spray!

Our standard 5:00 p.m. check-in time is provided in the listing before booking and allows the time needed to thoroughly clean and prepare the cottage for each guest's arrival. Whenever the schedule permits, I'm happy to offer an earlier check-in, and I was glad I could welcome you at 4:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the beach stairs were temporarily unavailable due to recent shoreline movement caused by the tides. For guest safety, I provided directions to the nearby beach access path, which offers easy access to the same beautiful shoreline. Thank you again for your kind words and valuable feedback. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and wish you and your friends all the best.

Great Cottage

Property and cottage was beautiful. Beach was great for kids and water very warm. Island great to adventure around during low tide. Very clean and quiet area.

Absolutely wonderful place!

We loved staying here. House is in a wonderfully scenic and quiet location and was fully equipped with everything we needed. For us it was a perfect location to adventure out from or just relax at and explore the shore. Our host Christine was always responsive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here!

Great home on the water

The home is very nice, with amazing views. Very comfy and everything we needed. The host is great and communication, check in, etc. was super.

Heaven on Earth

This vacation rental was exactly what we were looking for - our home away from home for a few magical days in early July 2025. It offered the peace and serenity we had been craving and served as the perfect launching point for our many day-trip adventures to nearby PEI, Hopewell Rocks, Parlee Beach, Shediac, and more. We also loved exploring at the cottage at low tide and enjoyed a memorable dinner by the fire one evening. Our host was wonderful, too!If you’re looking for a place to quiet your mind and reset—this is it.

Beautiful scenery

We loved our stay at Christine’s house. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. The view of the water was breathtaking. The house was equipped with everything we needed to make us feel right at home.

Piece of Paradise

This secluded, quiet spot was perfect after a busy day of exploring. It is right on the water so we could get out and experience the sea floor when the tide was out. (Don’t forget water shoes). Three well appointed bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and the convenience of a washer and dryer. We would definitely stay again. Christine reached out a few times to make sure we had everything we needed.

This property is uniqe as it is by the ocean, Northumberland Strait, and at low tide you can walk out all the way out to Ephraim Island. Huge sandbars for walks and discover saline. When the tide is in it comes all the up to the break water rocks which is fascinating.

The night sky is perfect for star gazing and the rawness of the countryside, Nature Reserve protected lands are ideal to explore flora and fauna.
