Sturgeon River Property

We were in the area to snowmobile and visit some friends in the area. The property was perfect for us. I would highly recommend this property.

Great place to Stay!

Great little spot for a family of 5. Nice location on the water with kayaks (although we didn’t use them). Easy location to find and close to amenities.

Great spot

We had an amazing time. Lots of space for all 8 of us. Close to marina to launch boat. Didnt do to well fishing but had fun trying. Close to great food, and shopping.

Beautiful Home

The house was beautiful, the location was amazing, and communication was good. The home was well set up for anyone traveling with kids. It was a bit different than we are used to when traveling as the owner's items were everywhere within the house. It made us feel a bit awkward sleeping in their bedroom with all of their clothes in the drawers and closets, medicine in the bathroom, and personal photographs hanging next to the bed, but that is based on our experiences and preferences. We were able to find clean towels in the dryer, not in the location stated in the book, which makes me wonder if perhaps it was just a crazy busy day for the owners! :-) Overall, it is a beautiful home with comfortable beds and a gorgeous outdoor view.

Natural paradise

Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Such a quiet and peaceful environment close to the city. The challenge in communicating with our host was caused by vrbo's website as they expect users to have a smartphone. We certainly hope to be able to come to this location again.

Be careful.

It would be nicer if you didn’t have to call and get the garbage out and cut the grass. There is absolutely no where to put your clothes or personal items. Every dresser drawer is full of the home owners clothing. All closets are full as well. The freezer was full so it was difficult to get our frozen food in. The kitchen cupboards are also full of stuff so all of our items stayed on the counter. We rented this place for a week and 2 days in a problem with the septic system became please watch the amount of water we were using. It says sleeps 8 but there is only 3 beds and a pull out couch. The fourth bedroom has a crib which we don’t need. The pictures showed an umbrella on the patio but not there and absolutely no shade. It’s definitely too bad because it is a beautiful place. I feel if you are going to rent this place they should remove all of the personal items so you feel comfortable. I wasn’t going to do a review but now we are being asked if we drank a bottle of tequila that is now empty. We don’t drink and any alcohol consumed from other family members was what they purchased.

The best hidden gem!

Couldn't have found a better place to stay for our first family vacation. Gemma was always available to answer any questions we had. The house was stocked with everything we needed including toys for our kids inside and out! Hoping to return next year
