This weekend is the Blues & BBQ festival in Blue Ridge! This cabin is less than 5 minutes from the venue!

Welcome to Hibernation Station, a spacious mountain home with 2 levels: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 full kitchens, a game room and large yard. Perfect for two families, it offers easy access via paved roads and is less than 5 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Close to McCaysville, Copperhill, and Mercier's Orchard.

Great stay!

The house was beautiful, and the location can't be beat! It was quiet and peaceful, but so close to the downtown shops and restaurants, so it felt like the best of both worlds!

Magical Blue Ridge Vacation

Hibernation station was a beautiful cabin/farm house. Conveniently located but felt like we were hidden up in the mountains. The hosts were excellent! Pure excellence!

2023 Thanksgiving

Family from Illinois, North Carolina and Florida. Ages 80+ down to 21. Had a great time hiking and visiting the area and town. The house is fantastic and pet friendly. Two kitchens helped with the Thanksgiving preparations.

Great communication with the owner! They were available to assist as soon as we contacted them. I would not recommend using the gas fireplace, as the house fills with propane smell and actually mad us sick. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. House is in a great location with easy access. The beds were a bit hard for our taste, but someone else may like them that firm. However, the covers/blankets on the bed were very soft and cozy for the winter. The yard was nice for our dogs to walk around, but you need to be careful of the small drop-off on the side if you have small dogs.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Regarding the gas logs; all logs (propane appliances) put off a little bit of a smell. If you aren't used to it, it seems worse that it is. Since you had to re-light the pilot, there's a possibility that you let a little more propane come through than usual. Either way, when this happens, opening a door for a few minutes will allow the smell to dissipate. My family and I used the cabin the weekend before you for our Thanksgiving celebration and we didn't have any issues with the logs. Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us and for your feedback.
