The Anchor Point is perfect for the whole family wanting to get away and relax in the heart of nature. This private, easy-to-access cabin offers all the modern amenities you are looking for in the heart of Muir Valley Nature Preserve and Climbing Area. Relax in the hot tub, enjoy game of ping pong or spend the evening on the screened in porch taking in nature.
This property offers two living areas with smart TVs. Make lasting memories!

Non-smoking, pet-free.
Kitchen: Dishwasher, Stove, Microwave, Regular coffee maker/filters, toaster and other necessities to make cooking breeze.
Living: Sectional seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TV, modern fireplace (use all seasons w/o heat)
3 Bedrooms : 1 King Bed, 2 queen beds.
2 Bathrooms: Each bathroom is equipped with beautiful tile showers and single vanities.
Outdoor: Spacious deck (with screened in porch area), hot tub, Charcoal grill with grilling utensils, firepit with lots of seating and stylish landscaping. Please purchase firewood locally.
- Fresh linens, blankets, and towels. Essentials: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, sponge, unscented dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
- Pack-and-Play and high chair available upon request
- Located in the very spacious basement you will find a ping pong table and a chess game located on a very beautiful barrel with bar stools to set and enjoy a game of chess.
- Easy access, The property is accessed by a well-maintained gravel road. Trailers prohibited. Plenty of parking space.
- Tranquil location right in the world famous Muir Valley Climbing area! Also near Red River Gorge! Rock climbing, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, zip lines, fishing, restaurants, sight-seeing, and more nearby.
- Discover many trails for all hiking enthusiasts! (Please note: hike at your own risk on unmarked trails.)

Everything was as expected. Nice furniture, comfortable beds, kitchen stocked well. Quality building materials. Good selection of games/activities. Might want to bring your own beach towels for the hot tub, towels are provided but small. Great location and enjoyed the trip.

I appreciated how clean this cabin was! The communication with the owner was fast and we had no issues. If I had any notes for room for improvement, I would add a lamp or two in the kitchen and living area (overhead lights are bright!), and a couple of new skillets (the current ones have wobbly handles and are no longer nonstick). All in all, a fabulous stay.

Beautiful Anchor Point

Great cabin in a nice setting. Close to an excellent rock climbing area. Cabin is well equipped and well laid out. Would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to others.

Perfect Hiking Get Away

Absolutely met and exceed expectations. Enjoyed hiking in Muir Valley, and Natural Bridge, hot tub was helpful for sore muscles and ping pong was a hit. Very clean and easy to access the cabin. Definitely off the beaten path, but what we wanted Would definitely stay there again

Great Weekend

The cabin is amazing. It’s large and has so many great amenities. We loved the hot tub. The only issue we had was when getting to the cabin the check in code we were given didn’t work. However, we called the property management group and got the issue resolved in less than 30 minutes. I would highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely amazing! Beautiful property, clean, well maintained, with top notch amenities. We enjoyed everything offered here. We loved the bonus screened in portion of the deck. We all loved everything about this cabin. From booking to check out everything was smooth. We could not have been more impressed with this cabin and services provided. Beautiful spacious cabin!

We rented this cabin for my wife and myself along with 2 other couples. What an amazing stay! We loved the hot tub and multiple decks. The cabin was clean and spacious. The location was perfect and very close to many activities. The basement game room is perfect for a game of checkers or ping pong. Check in and check out was seamless. Next time we will bring hot tub towels and extra bath towels as well. We will definitely recommend to our family and friends.

We spent 3 days here for a girls trip and it did not disappoint. The location is ideal -within a 2 minute walk to a series of incredible hikes and views at Muir Valley. The cabin is spacious and well stocked. We really enjoyed the porch.The beds were comfy. As another guest mentioned, we also ran into some issues with our code not working. It was remedied but the response time was about 30 minutes (we called, texted, and messaged the property managers).

Still a secret- New home feel cleanliness in Picturesque setting

10 Stars- Family went for some hiking in Red River Gorge. Perfect location, tucked away in the woods. Brand new feel to everything as if has just been built. Perfect for our recovery from our crazy life on a Fall Break. We really just wanted to sit in this cozy cabin and watch TV in front of the Ultra High Tech Fireplace panel. I could not decide weather to do orange fire with yellow flame or orange fire with blue flame or orange fire with orange flame :-)

Beautiful Modern Cabin in an Unbeatable Location

Our stay at this home near Muir Woods with my siblings was truly memorable. The location is ideal for hiking enthusiasts — we were able to hike in and out of the Muir Woods directly from the house with several trail options to explore. It made for the perfect nature getaway.The cabin itself is modern, stylish, and well-equipped with many thoughtful amenities. Contrary to some past reviews, we found there were plenty of towels available throughout the home. After long hikes, the jacuzzi was a fantastic treat, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I also want to highlight the responsiveness of the management team — I reported a couple of minor issues and someone came out the very next day to address them. Great service!A couple of things to note: the acoustics in the cabin amplify sound quite a bit. Closing doors, footsteps on the stairs, and general movement create noticeable noise throughout the house. Even with white noise machines, we were still aware of each other moving around at night, so ear plugs may be a good idea if you're a light sleeper.Also, while the kitchen is lovely, don't expect to find food basics like salt, pepper, oil, sugar, or spices. This is a professionally managed home that provides the essentials in terms of soap and toiletries, but you'll need to bring everything you need if you plan to cook.Overall, it’s a wonderful property in a magical setting — and we'd be happy to return.

Mountain homes can definitely carry sound more than expected, and we’ll make sure future guests are aware. And yes — as a professionally managed property, we keep items like spices and oil limited for safety and consistency, but we’ll look at ways to make that clearer in pre-arrival info. The place was great and everything was amazing. We did run into some smoke alarm and A/C issues but they were resolved very fast and efficient.
