Amazing Property

Housekeeping was perfect, the rooms looked amazing and everything was very clean! We enjoyed the atmosphere of the property and had great time by the fire pit, on the porch and grilling out. We came to fish on an all guys trip and had as much fun at our cabin as we did on the lake! Highly recommend this property!

A very nice place to stay and bring everyone together in open space. Bedrooms are great, with a bunkhouse for overflow. Excellent communications with management.

Hillsboro Hideaway Rental

Overall the house is fine for basic gatherings, I would say its more basic than what you would expect from renting a house. Very good communications when there were any issues. We had emailed to verify that all the beds were queen size, but , when we arrived we found one of the beds was a double and there is a big difference between the two if you have 2 adults sleeping in that bed. The master bedroom bed was comfortable. The bunk house was very musty smelling that never went away after trying to air it out. The hot tub was a nice tub overall. The AC worked well, but the master bedroom was a bit warm with the door closed, the only vent for the suite was in the bathroom, and there were no fans except for ceiling fan in living room. Unfortunately we had a lock issue in the beginning, and the lock did not work well for our time there, the bunk house lock didn't work at tall the whole time. The refrig was very large and nice and they provided all the toiletries and nice towels and lots of beach towels for the lake. The laundry room being part of the kitchen did increase the warmth of the house more that expected. Again overall decent but very basic lodging.

It was the perfect space near family to introduce them to the newest member all the way from Louisiana - 4 generations. Having 3 queen bedrooms and a big couch to hangout on was perfect

Got in late - I ought to have viewed the door lock video - it was excellent. Owner answered even in wee hours of the AM when we finally arrived. Apologies for the call! Everything was great, and the bunkhouse is a really nice feature - 3/4 bath, kitchenette, porch. The entire property is well maintained. Thank you!

Great stay this past weekend

We enjoyed our stay at this rental this past weekend. There are not many options on Rocky Fork Lake and this was perfect for our needs. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. The hot tub was freshly cleaned and hot by the time we wanted it late the first evening. Although early in the season, we hope to rent again and bring our wave runner as there is plenty of space for our truck and trailer. Thanks for having us. We hope to be back later this summer.

Three of us rented the house for 4 nights. Two from North Carolina and one from Indiana - cousins, of the vintage age. Living room and dining room were great!! Bedrooms were very comfortable and the beds were very comfortable. The master bath was good. The other bath no so good, shower very small, and while showering the water went from hot to cold, cold to very hot. Did not happen in master bath. It would help so much if grab bars were in the showers for older visitors. We were disappointed in the kitchen and lack of amenities, such as lack of types of plates (small plates , medium plates, coffee mugs -- not the cute tiny coffee cups on the counter; utensils were rather in short supply, pots and pans very sparse, very old, not wanting to use them). No dishwasher or garbage disposal. Frig was very nice! Due to the 3 days of rain, we were not able to check out the hot tub, grill, or fire pit. Front porch is great - able to use on last day and think we spent the day out there. Grass greatly appeared to have not been cut and around the front bushes and flower areas were pushing thru everywhere - including pushing onto porch and crouching in on the pretty steps to the porch. Know rain had been a mess but neighbors' yards were very nice. Really nice floors, tv in each bedroom and large tv in living room. Please leave info how to work tvs, finally got it but would help so much!. What was good was very good. On fence about renting again.

Comfortable

The house was very clean and cozy inside with many great features. Outside there were bees swarming around the front corner of the hot tub. The gas tank on the grill was empty and there were many bugs accumulated on the outside of the house near the doors that needed cleaned. .
