Beach from paradise ad SAFE !!!!!

The property was exactly as described. Very comfortable and a perfect place for a family. The apartment was located in a secure complex with 24-hour security personnel. The master bedroom was perfectly situated overlooking the ocean, and each night I was able to fall asleep to the sounds of the Ocean. The buildings and property grounds were meticulously maintained. The apartment was very clean when we arrived with plenty of clean sheets and towels for our use. The location was perfect, on the beach. The owner's local representative was very helpful and responsive whenever we had a question. I would definitely recommend this rental to a friend, and my family and I hope to return next year for 5 more weeks in Camboihnias. This is the hight end place where all wealthy people live and we her that its the best place around Rio de Janeiro. Right on the Beach - no streets or noise - amazing place - we loved it

A piece of Heaven on Earth

My wife and I just returned from a beautiful vacation in Niteroi, Brazil which is just outside of Rio. We stayed at this apartment and the location allowed us to have the best of both worlds….a nice relaxing beach and pool but still close enough to Rio (40 minute taxi ride) so that we could also enjoy Ipanema and Copacabano beaches. The apartment is as advertised with a wonderful infinity pool overlooking the beach. You can swim as late as 11:30pm at night…we’d encourage you to take a night-time swim as the pool remains warm during the night. Andre who owns the apartment is very helpful. The apartment had clean sheets and towels and was cleaned by a maid once per week. The security at the apartment complex is excellent so you’ll feel safe and the reception staff was very helpful. There is also underground parking if you have a car. We took a taxi with an English speaking driver which was very helpful. Why stay here in Niteroi? Rio is great but it is so much like New York with lots of concrete buildings and traffic. You really can’t get the feeling of the freedom and openness of Brazil unless you are staying at an apartment like this one in Niteroi. The locals use the Niteroi beach behind the apartment and you can actually enjoy a relaxing day at the beach. When you go to Ipanema or Copacabano beaches they are both crammed with locals and tourists. Things to do while you are in Niteroi or near Rio: • Brazil Jeep Tour. Visit the Jesus Christ statute, Sugar Loaf and the forest in Rio. • Rio Scenarium. Young crowd but local music and tourist show with vibrant dancing in Rio. • Garota de Ipanema. Brazilian restaurant filled with tourists but has a very festive atmosphere for lunch. In Rio. • Vieira Souto. Upscale Italian restaurant in Rio. • Paludo Gourmet. Brazilian restaurant in Niteroi. • Museu Contempora (MAC). Museum in Niteroi. It’s the building architecture that’s unique. • Coahuila. Tex-Mex food with large margaritas for a change in diet while in Brazil. Restaurant in Niteroi. Brazil is a great place for a vacation. Staying at Andre’s apartment in Niteroi made our vacation memorable as it provided a comfortable and safe environment for us to explore Niteroi and Rio. We spent 11 nights at the apartment and were really sad when we finally had to leave to come back to the cold weather in the New York area.

Beautiful apt right on Camboihnas Beach

Located about 45 mins away from Rio's center, this makes it a perfect place to stay to balance touristy beaches/locations and some of the best beaches in Rio, especially those in Niteroi. The apartment is modernly decorated with free access to Wi-Fi, Bose speakers, beach umbrella and chairs. Cynthia and Andre have equipped this apt to make it as convenient as possible for guests. The complex has an lengthy infinity pool, a gym, saunas, underground parking and 24/7 security. Though the security is included, we never felt unsafe walking around in the area, though a car is highly recommended to get around and view all the gorgeous beaches nearby. Would return!

Incredible Place to Stay

This is one of the nicest rentals I have ever had. It's in a really convenient and safe location. You're in Rio, but you're also not right in the middle of all of the tourism which makes your vacation more enjoyable. The property is really well kept and was so clean we arrived. I would definitely stay at this rental again and highly recommend it.

Perfect Place for Spring Break

My friends and I decided to stay at this property over spring break last year, and we were so happy. The property was clean and was practically right on the beach. When we didn't want to go to the beach, we were able to swim at the pool. We were really close to so many attractions and we found the rates to be affordable. We plan to rent here again next year!

Great Place!

I was really impressed with my stay at this property. Everything was really clean and the upkeep was obviously a huge priority to the owners. We really enjoyed spending the holiday in Rio and loved how close we were to the beach. Highly recommended property!

I loved my stay!

When I stayed in this rental, I found it to be really nice. My daughter and I found the place to be really clean and everything was kept up with. We liked how close we were to beaches, and spent a lot of time there. We also felt really safe, as the apartment was in a gated community and there was security just in case. I also liked that we were in Rio without really having to be in the mixup of huge tourist crowds. We plan to go back again soon and we would definitely love to stay here again!

Keep looking--not worth the pain and agony...

We could not take occupancy due to the fact that the condo was filthy, in disrepair with lamps torn out of walls, tv had cables torn out and refrigerator uncleaned from previous tenant. Also there were bugs everywhere. Bed was unmade, no towels etc. Make sure they know you're coming, we waited over 45 minutes in heat--they would not let us in the gate. Notice they don't have many Pictures of the condo itself...because the unit is TINY and terribly worn. All the photos are of the beach, lobby, pool area--which are very nice. The patio deck too is very nice, but be prepared for 2 star accomodations at best. It's hard for me to believe these other reviews after seeing the unit. Even the manager and our cab driver agreed to how bad it was. I took many photos of the conditions and sent them to the owner. Not once did he acknowledge the uninhabitable status of the unit. His comment was...what did you think of the view? I've seen better college dorm rooms to stay than this. The end result--we had to go and find another place to stay since we did not have a car and had no where to go. I would not recommend this unit to anyone unless the owner did some SERIOUS repair work and replace the horribly stained pillows, mattress and rug in the unit as a start. Finally, You must have a car, because nothing is close--at least one mile to closest shop in extreme heat. I'd suggest to look elsewhere otherwise you'll be like us--having to pay an "upcharge" to secure other accommodations.

SIMPLE AMAZING !!!!

This place is breathtaking! It has the best of both worlds in terms of relaxing by the beach and having access to Rio only a relatively short drive away. The beach is fantastic and the infinity pool on the patio is amazing. You can swim in the worm water and till 1030 PM. Clean, beautiful, great lights, amazing view - you are right on the water. There are some great restaurants nearby that we loved too. We already booked the place for 2013 :) thank you an amazing place Sam / Patty

Excelente Resort con una vista inigualable

Estuvimos con mi mujer y mi hijo de 3 años 10 días en este apartamento situado sobre la playa de Camboinhas, Niteroi, frente a Rio de Janeiro. El resort es muy seguro con una increíble pileta con horizonte infinito y vista al mar. La pileta tiene una profundidad máxima de 1,40mts, generosas dimensiones y posee areas aptas para niños menores. Desde el balcón terraza del departamento la vista es inigualable: por un lado la playa, el mar y los morros, y por el otro la pileta. Ideal para almorzar y cenar al aire libre. Es de destacar la comodidad de tener a disposición una computadora iMac, impresora, un LED de 50 pulgadas y una Playstation. El resort posee un gimnasio con aparatos y un pequeño salón con juegos para niños. La playa de Camboinhas es muy tranquila, segura y es frecuentada por locales. Hay una hermosa pasarela entre el mar y las casas con una longitud de 1500mts, perfecta para un paseo al atardecer o un poco de running. Inclusive el fin de semana, tanto la pileta como la playa, son muy poco frecuentadas por lo que se pueden disfrutar al 100%. Si desean visitar Rio, hay que tener en cuenta que en automóvil toma aproximadamnete 50 minutos llegar a Copacabana por el tránsito y distancia a recorrer. Para llegar al departamento sí o sí utilicen un GPS ya que es muy compleja la trama de calles a recorrer. Nosotros llegamos a la medianoche, alquilando un auto en el aeropuerto. No es aconsejable ya que hay que atravesar barrios de escasos recursos que podrían llegar a ser peligrosos. De todas formas no tuvimos ningún incidente en todo el viaje, y el barrio donde esta el complejo es muy lindo y seguro.

The best ever !!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks and were happy with our stay. The beach that is out in front of the apartment is very nice with great views of Rio de Janeiro in the distance. We really enjoyed the pool and the saunas as well. The Niteroi Museum nearby was also interesting. We were happy with what we got

This is where the locals like to go so it’s a great way to avoid the crowds of tourists that fill up the beaches. I stayed at this apartment for a week and really enjoyed it. The area is very safe and the people are friendly. There are all kinds of cool beach bars and restaurants that you can stroll up to. This truly is a wonderful place and a wonderful country. I had beautiful weather the entire week except I think it rained briefly one night. With the beach in front of you and the rainforest and mountains behind you what more could a guy ask for. great stay will come again

LOVED IT

I brought my family here and we had a blast. My son loves to surf and with Itucatiara Beach so close by he was in heaven. While my son was surfing we spent most of our days lounging around the stunning pool. This is also a great spot to do some hiking as well. Hope to get back here sometime soon.

Amazing, breath taking apartment

My wife and I stayed here for a week and loved it so much. It’s a great little get away that has everything you need. The beach is unreal and the apartment itself is equipped with everything you’ll need, we especially enjoyed the gym access. Internet access was also a plus for us as we have found in the past that some places don’t provide Internet. We would highly recommend this spot. Thank you Cynthia and Andre

This place is really amazing

We really enjoyed our stay in Camboihnias Beach as it made a perfect place for our family holiday. The place is rally special, we have never stay in place with the view like this before. The pool is WOW, and the beach is right on the front of you. The place was very clean and we are planing to come again in November. Daniel
