South End Sanctuary, 250m from forest & beach entrance. Pet Friendly!

South End Sanctuary is a modern (completed in 2023) 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house.

Wonderfully located near the well-known South forest perfect for walking, biking, and home to the adventure playground. The house is approximately 200m from the south forest entrance and 250m from the Hydrabad Drive beach access.

This home has a master bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third bedroom with 2x king single beds. While it sleeps 6 comfortably there is also a foam mattress and single sheets available to sleep an extra in the lounge if required. There is a main bathroom with toilet/shower/vanity and a separate toilet also.

The lounge/dining/kitchen is open plan. The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a BBQ for outdoor use. There is outdoor dining on the patio and a grass area for activities. The house also has a washing machine for guest use if required.

Linen and towels are included, though we do ask that guests bring their own beach towels. There are basic consumables provided such as liquid soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry powder, and dishwasher tablets. We provide enough toilet paper to get you started but ask that guests source their own if more is required.
In the kitchen, a starter pack of tea, coffee pods, and hot chocolate. Milk is not provided, we recommend you pick some up from the Foursquare on your way in.
As well as a TV (bring your own HDMI device) the house has a range of games and books to keep guests entertained. For the more techy or those wanting to do some work, the house has unlimited wifi.

While we are dog friendly we do ask that guests let us know. There are lots of dogs in the area and the beach and forest are dog-friendly however there can be pest bait/traps in the forest and dead fish/birds on the beach. The property is also fully fenced.

South End Sanctuary is not a party house. While we do want you to enjoy your stay we ask the outside noise be kept to a minimum between 10 pm and 7 am.

South End Sanctuary is self-check-in. Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is by 10 am. A late checkout is sometimes possible but must be arranged prior to check-in.

Having stayed several times in Waitarere in various houses, I can honestly say that this was the best appointed and most comfortable of them all. The furniture and fittings were of a good standard and the location was ideal for both beach and forest. A really enjoyable short but memorable stay.

A wonderful, clean property with all the amenities you'd need. Love the coffee machine. Great fully- fenced section meant we could let the dog outside without any concerns. The location was perfect for walking to the beach. We will be back for sure.

I would recommend this bach and would stay there again as it was bright, spacious and tastefully presented. Although we only stayed over the weekend for an event in the area it would have been ideal for a longer stay. An ideal getaway!

Wonderful location just a short stroll to the beach. Beautiful, clean new home with all the amenities you could need. Loved it we will definitely be back to enjoy again. Host was responsive and left plenty of information on the rental and surrounding area.

Great stay

The house was ideal for us for 5 nights. Well laid out, fully fenced, well appointed and very clean and tidy. We appreciated the art prints and nice linens. Kitchen had all the gadgets and things we needed to cook. We wouldn’t hesitate to book in again.

Such a fantastic property. Modern, clean and well resources. There weee more things than listed on the listing page, for example a BBQ. It was lovely to be able to take our dog away with us.
