Welcome to our secluded and spacious "tiny" home with sweeping views across the city to the sea and mountains, nestled in native trees on a lower crest of Cashmere hill, just 6km from the CBD. You can look forward to relaxing, unwinding and recharging in privacy, or to enjoy easy access to the city, Port Hills and Lyttelton.

With the entire front of this 35m2 home encased in glass, the unique, stylish design incorporates a spacious mezzanine bedroom with ample room above the comfortable queen bed to walk around. A well equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, sitting and dining areas, a bathroom with a glassed shower, combo washer/dryer and clever storage are incorporated into the main floor. The space is airy and light and the deck offers a lovely spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Listen to the birds in the native trees and look out for the quail and native fantails who nest nearby.

The sun rises over the Pacific Ocean in the distance and after sunset the city below lights up and you can sleep beneath the Southern Cross often visible through the roof window, which opens to let the breeze through when it's warm.

There is an abundance of local attractions, and a myriad of well maintained walking and biking trails accessible by simply crossing the road and entering the bush. Victoria Park and Christchurch Adventure Park offer walking and mountain biking trails, zip lining and sight-seeing from its gondola, and cafes. Newly awarded Michelin Star Tussock Hill Vineyard and Cellar Door Restaurant is located on Huntsbury Hill, a few minutes' drive away and within view of the kitchen window.

Access is at the end of the driveway, with a short slope to the tiny house, tucked away just 60m from the road and completely hidden from the main home. There is on or off-street parking and covered bike storage.

We designed and built this hideaway in 2021, then lived in it for 15 months during the build of our main home, before offering it as a premium accommodation right on the verge of Christchurch. We think this is a very special little home, and are sure you will, too!
