Arbor House North - Meredith Lodging

Crashing surf, ocean breezes and two balconies overlooking the ocean are yours with a stay in Arbor House North. This bright, beautiful home is ideal for sharing with family and friends, since each of its three bedrooms has its own full bathroom, ocean view, and balcony access. You’ll love gathering in the upper-floor, ocean-view great room, with comfy seating, TV for everyone’s enjoyment. A fully equipped kitchen and formal dining table, plus a barbecue on the balcony, give you all you’ll need to dine in. The wind-screened balcony also has an enclosed hot tub, so you can soak to your heart’s content, regardless of the weather. A garage game-room on the lower level includes a pool table, foosball and ping-pong for friendly competitions between walks on the beach. You’ll find the famous 804 Trail, which traverses the rocky shoreline of Yachats all the way to the Yachats River estuary, runs right in front of the home.

The trail takes you into the town of Yachats, the home of wonderful restaurants and shops, including two bakery/coffee houses an easy walk from Arbor House North. You can easily access Cape Perpetua and Newport in a day trip to the north, or visit Heceta Lighthouse, Sea Lion Caves, and the dunes of Florence to the south. Have extra guests? Arbor House South adjoins Arbor House North, its twin. Friends can rent that, or you can simply rent both as Arbor House, with shared access and quarters for up to 16 guests.

Great house and location. House was very clean and well suited for our family of 6. Only disappointed was hot tub was partially enclosed on side of house. Unable to see ocean from hot tub. I really enjoy watching the ocean from hot tub however others may enjoy the hot tub being protected from the weather. Also hot water was limited for showers. Could only make it through one shower before the water was cold.

Long weekend getaway.

Loved the house. Great place to watch the waves. It is a duplex but we didn’t hear the neighbors. Game room and hot tub were awesome. Only complaint was the hot water didn’t last very long so we had to take fast showers.

Great relaxation place

It was a wonderful location to relax and enjoy the ocean views. We couldn't hear the neighbors at all. It was clean and comfortable. We would rent again if we were coming to the area again.

Awesome location- please wash the windows!

The house is very nice, location is perfect, right on a trail with best pool tides! But please, wash the windows in the living room, they are so dirty you can not see the ocean. It is important for people to see the ocean if they rent an ocean front house.

Awesome Beachfront Home

Home is as wonderful on the inside as in the pictures!! Outside is ocean-weathered, just like the pics also. Very quiet neighborhood, and is close enough to walk over to dinner at a couple of places (Pizza and Adobe Resort). The view is incredible, with a front row seat to wave action. Home is pretty well equipped for eating in, and is very comfortable for hanging out in the storm. Game room was added fun. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay ... four nights was not enough time!!

Great location

If you are looking to have oceanfront, this is a great option. Local public path in front of house but it’s a benefit for walking and not noisy when busy. Sound of waves on rocks is all you hear. House has a few issues that management has been made aware of but nothing that was urgent enough to need done during our stay. Prior reviews show others renters reported maintenance issues also.

Nice place!

Very nice place. A little disappointed that it was really a duplex not a house. Lot of thought put into appearance and decor to make it very homelike. Super clean. Nothing but nice things to say about the comfort of the place.. There was however, some exception. Not any of the tv downstairs where able to connect to anything. TV in one of the bedrooms downstairs was probably for show as all it was connected to was ac on the wall. No cable no nothing and could not even find a remote to turn it on. Used my lap top instead. Tv upstairs was ok. Lock on hot tub need replacing. Had a hard time getting it open. Other than that, yes, we would rent again.

Mom's birthday weekend

Overall the house was decent and we had a great time. The only negative things I have to say is that when we showed up there was trash all over around the front door in the back patio and me and my mom spent about 20 minutes picking up trash. The property has a pool table but none of the cues had tips on them and had all been busted off, luckily with having some background playing pool I found the broken tips in a drawer and was able to go to the store get some super glue and glue them back on so we can enjoy a couple games of pool while we were there. The ping pong paddles were completely falling apart so we also glued those together in order to use them. The Foosball table was fun but definitely needs to be upgraded as it is completely rusted. The upstairs bed and the downstairs right bedroom bed were amazing but the room with the two double beds definitely need to have new beds put in. They were very uncomfortable and had no cushion whatsoever. Probably one of the worst night sleep I've ever had. The View was amazing and the house was very cute but did have a lot of clutter. It was definitely a good time but the house needs some TLC and some updating

Great location - Poor Management

I rented this home to celebrate my wife’s birthday with family. My wife had two requests: A great view of the beach and a fireplace. This advertised both. Upon arrival, we found perhaps one of the best views and access to the rugged central coast I’ve seen. On location, this place is a “10.” The house itself looked like it was built in the 90’s and had not been updated. No problem… It’s a vacation rental. Friday evening, we turned on the gas fireplace and it did not light. I called Meredith Lodging (the property manager), and they said they would have someone out the next morning. We waited until about noon, but since we had given permission for them to enter, we left the home to explore. When we returned, they had not been there yet. I called, and they assured me someone would be out shortly. A couple hours later we returned, and it was evident that someone was there because the BBQ propane tank had been replaced (also requested), but the fireplace still did not work. Calling again they said they would have someone out. That person never came. That evening, I called fearing that 2 of our three nights would be without the fireplace. At that point they told me it was an electric fireplace, and I just couldn't see it. This was a load of crap because anyone who looked would see a gas line and valve coming into it (also, I am a contractor, I know what a gas fireplace looks like). They said they would have someone come out. That person never arrived. The
