Enjoy a country stay in your own private cottage centrally located between Shepparton and Echuca in the sunny Goulburn Valley Northern Victoria. Enjoy a comfortable sleep in luxurious bedding, with blackout blinds, and for extra guests there is a double bed size sofa bed in the living area. You can cook your own meals in the well equipped kitchen or enjoy a BBQ outside under the vine-covered outdoor area. Or choose to eat out at one of the local hotels or restaurants only a short drive away. Watch the stars at night while sitting by the fire pit. Or explore the many attractions of the region using Kardinia Cottage as your home base. Kardinia Cottage is centrally located in the Goulburn Valley 20 minutes from Shepparton, 10 minutes from Kyabram and 40 minutes from Echuca as well as being surrounded by many smaller regional towns and places to explore.

Amazing location and vibe

The stay is close to both Sheparton and Echuca, so we drove to both the two places.The cottage is really nice, there were plenty of amenities provided by the host (Mary), so we can cook and clean like we're at home. We were lucky on of the days, the sky was clean so we can see the starry sky clearly!

Lovely cottage on a lovely farm - tranquil and quiet. Just what we needed for a good rest after full days of soccer at the Shepparton Cup! Thanks to Mary for the fresh egged, bread and milk waiting for us when we arrived. Lovely surrounding farm land and original farm buildings. We look forward to visiting again! The VRBO app however, not so friendly. Nothing to do with Mary of course. I couldn’t access the check in information only available on the app. Thanks again Mary for a wonderful farm experience.

Country Stay

Everything we needed was provided plus a lovely supply of food items. We enjoyed being on a farm. With lots of different animals. Very comfortable accommodation and nice and peaceful.

My husband and I are 3rd generation farmers on our family property. We have beef cattle and crops and being locals we are excited to share what our region has to offer within a short drive from our property.
We enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and encouraging them to see what the Goulburn Valley has to offer.

Living in Northern Victoria we enjoy a great climate, particularly the many days of clear blue skies even in winter. While our scenery is predominantly flat country our sunrises and sunsets can be especially stunning. There are so many things to enjoy about our local area, whether visiting a winery, museum or the Kyabram Fauna Park, now part of Zoos Victoria, or taking time to explore the bushland of the Goulburn River. All these are just a short drive from your accommodation.

While our property is located approximately 15 minutes drive from Kyabram it is centrally positioned to visit many surrounding towns with Shepparton 30 minutes drive and Echuca 40 minutes and close to many other attractions in the local region. You can enjoy the experience of a farm stay using Kardinia Cottage as your base while exploring the area. Or you may prefer to sit and relax under the vine-covered outdoor area or sit by the fire pit at night and watch the starry skies.
