Please call me Kazu. I was born in Fukuyama, next to Onomichi, where Tomonoura is located. My wife and I live near Fukuyama Station. Our children work in Tokyo. I run a construction company and a real estate company. My wife is a TV personality on a local community radio station. We love traveling and go abroad two or three times a year. We travel to enjoy walking around towns and scenery, trying local food, and interacting with local people. We can speak English and Indonesian for everyday conversation. When we were in our 20s and 30s, we were stationed in Jakarta (Indonesia) and Manila (Philippines) for short periods (2 years in Jakarta, 1 year in Manila). When we go abroad, we feel like telling travelers about the good things about our hometown. Our towns of Fukuyama (Tomonoura) and Onomichi (Mukaishima) have the best scenery and are friendly, so we can say they are our spiritual home.

Why not try out various activities while enjoying the wonderful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea? Tachibana is even more calm than the calm Seto Inland Sea. Even inexperienced people can safely try large and stable SUPs and sit-on-top kayaks, which are stable and easy to move around on board. Take into consideration the tides and wind direction, and enjoy various activities such as cruising and fishing while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea! Enjoy a blissful time walking on the sea where you can feel the water surface up close. Mukaishima is the first island on the Hiroshima side of the Shimanami Kaido Cycling Road, which connects islands full of history and culture floating in the Seto Inland Sea with bridges. Take your time enjoying the spectacular view while feeling the pleasant sea breeze on your bike. You can also walk up Takamiyama, the highest peak of Mukaishima, from East Villa Shimanami Mukaishima, which is close to the trailhead for Takamiyama. Take your time to reach the summit while enjoying the beauty of the Seto Inland Sea's many islands, which show different appearances depending on the time of year. A 360-degree view of the Seto Inland Sea from the summit awaits you. It's wonderful at any time of the day, evening, or early morning!
Feel the pleasant sea breeze and enjoy outdoor activities such as barbecues while looking out at the sea. Fresh seafood caught in the Seto Inland Sea, delicious meat, vegetables, fruit, and other ingredients can be purchased at supermarkets and specialty stores on the island. Be sure to enjoy the unique tastes at local supermarkets and specialty stores.

A two-story maisonette-style accommodation facility that can accommodate up to seven people per unit (up to 21 people can be accommodated if three units are rented out). The first floor has a 20-tatami living/dining/kitchen area, a two-bed bedroom, a washroom, toilet (with washlet), and a large shower room. After swimming in the sea, you can go to the shower room in sandals.
From the windows of the living room and kitchen on the first floor, you can see the wide sea in front of you in full view. There is also a place to put your travel bags.

The second floor is a spacious large room with five beds and 60 m2 (20 tatami mats), with a beautiful sea view in front of you and a large veranda. Outside on the first floor of each unit, there is a large terrace with a fixed table and chairs. You can also enjoy the swing with seeing the ocean in front. Just in front of it is a fixed barbecue grill, and you can use all the tools for free.
In the afternoon, it is shaded, so you can enjoy BBQ without being exposed to direct summer sunlight. There is also a swing on the veranda that you can ride while looking at the sea.

The three units are decorated with the themes of "Japanese," "Fruit," and "Nature," and each has a design that gives off a refreshing Japanese feel and an extraordinary atmosphere. If possible, we recommend staying for more than two days. The longer you stay, the cheaper the nightly rate becomes.
