Chalet Grand-père Tortue

Wake up watching the ducks wade in the lake while you soak in the hot water of the spa. Enjoy the day on the water with our boats or by titillating the fish. Then fill up with a BBQ on the terrace, or by cooking your meal directly on the fire on the bank, to the songs of frogs and loons. Finish the cooler evenings around the pool table or the fireplace before relaxing in the massage/rain shower or the bath.
The accommodation
As soon as you enter the house you will be charmed by the open stairwell that overlooks the basement. Then you will find a large living room and a dining room with cathedral ceiling cradled in the center by a warm stone fireplace leaning against each other by French doors with a view of the land facing the lake. Close to the dining room furnished with a huge table of 10 seats is the fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, and all the dishes provided) or a counter and 4 benches can accommodate the children. The upper floor is topped by a very large terrace where you can have ready-made meals from the propane BBQ. But also two bedrooms, the Maitre Tortue with a king bed and La Géraldine with a Queen bed.
In the basement a huge billiard room and a second relaxing living room which again opens onto large French doors with a view of the lake. You can go out under the veranda to take the spa under a magnificent play of light, or take advantage of the hammocks and terrace furniture. In winter, a propane stove is located right next to the spa, ideal for a hot and cold cycle and a real thermal experience.
At the back of the room, the reading corner, where you will find a library of board games, books and movies of all kinds.
Two bedrooms are in the basement, the Candide, with a comfortable Queen bed, and the bb Tortue, a children's room with a double bed and 3 single beds. There is also a large bathroom with a huge massage/rain shower, and a large bath.
Outside, enjoy the pedal boat or a canoe in the summer, and don't forget your rods and your fishing license, because the lake is full of big pike but very few fishermen. In winter, go around the cottage on snowshoes or take advantage of the surrounding buttes to slide. St-david de Falardeau lies at the foot of Mont-Valin, a winter sports paradise. The Le Valinouet ski resort is just over 20 minutes away by car. The famous winter hike the valley of ghosts is located in the Mont-Valin park, and the snowmobile trails are only 400 meters from the house. Otherwise the activities abound in the surrounding area!! Above all, make sure to book for a long enough period to take advantage of all the attractions.
Traveler access
The garage next door will be used by the owner and the family.
It is therefore possible that other cars are in the large parking lot.
Make sure to park on the right side of the parking lot, and leave the left side for the garage.
Other points to note
Two bedrooms will be provided with your reservation to avoid washing all the beds unnecessarily each time not knowing if they have all been used. Either two adult rooms or an adult room and a children's room. The other rooms will be locked unless otherwise specified. Please let me know when you make your reservation who will be on site and occupying the house, and how many beds and rooms you will need in order to assemble the beds in question.
No food and drink around the pool table, and an amount of 500$ you will be charged if the table mat is damaged or a glass is spilled.
No container and glass bottle\glass near the spa.
Always shower before the spa. And rinse your feet before going upstairs. If it needs to be drained, it will be charged. 400$
