The White House-Studio

The Studio is one of two, dog friendly, accommodations located at 27 Christmas street .
The Studio is surrounded by natural bird life and century old gum trees.
Major roads surrounding are sealed .
The Property has off-street parking. Concrete lit drive ways. Two queen beds, on two levels with access via spiral staircase, and an additional pullout double sofa bed located in the lounge room if required.
The space
Warm inviting studio completely seperate, sharing only outside parking areas .Wood fire or split system.
Kick back, read a book, watch the smart TV access your apps, or listen to a record, to assist with slowing down. Or for the on the go types enjoy exploring the many tracks that lead to many walk ways along the shoreline. The well known board walk on Bancroft Bay can be accessed via 1 minute stroll from the property. Meander and explore the Metung village and specialty shops.
Bring your kayak or paddle board to carry down to the water edge.
For extra beddings book the Loft House opposite to your accommodation.
Accomodation includes Continental breakfast provisions for breakfast for the first morning stay.

Guest access
Guest parking off road next to accomodation, 4 steps up to the deck and private entrance .Guest can feed the local bird life, seed provided Guest can walk around the gardens.

Other things to note:
Host is happy to provide verbal recommendations for cafe restaurants in the area. All venues are pet friendly. Pets on leads outside. Clean up after your pets and ensure they are supervised assist Metung staying pet friendly.

Pet friendly and lovely quiet surroundings. Easy walking access to the boardwalk. Very comfy bed. Easy parking off street. Lush green garden around the property with birds visiting in the evening.

We did not expect stairs.Only place to clean dishes etc was in bathroomsink.Wires hanging from tv not a good look.We expected the rooms to be better finished.Overall experience 6 out of 10.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the Studio did not fully meet your expectations. The Studio is advertised as a unique split-level accommodation with an internal staircase, and both the description and photos clearly show this feature. We always encourage guests to carefully review the listing details and photos before booking to ensure the accommodation suits their needs. The Studio is also advertised as having a kitchenette rather than a full kitchen. For guests choosing to dine in, a pop-up sink bucket is provided for washing dishes to help protect the bathroom basin. The TV you mentioned is a recently upgraded Smart TV, and the visible cables are part of the new installation which we continue to refine and improve. We appreciate your comments regarding the finishing touches of the room and will take your feedback on board as we continue making improvements to enhance the guest experience. Great location in Metung.

Well presented accommodation, quiet and peaceful with a lovely host. Perfect if you are looking to stay with your dog. Tracey was able to look after the dog while we had the morning at the Hot Springs…a fabulous bonus.Highly recommend this location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the studio and would happily recommend it. We were sad that we couldn't work out how to use the record player though. The host included a number of little surprises - on our way out we even found an umbrella hanging on the door. I've driven through Metung but never stayed, but what a delightful spot it is. Great accommodation

We were pleased to find a great place where we could bring our dog. Comfortable beds. Kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle allowed us to prepare simple meals. Although we didn’t use it, there appeared to be a BBQ available. Room available for parking our boat.

Truely a white house experience

Place is clean, equipped and comfortable. Walking distant to the lake, pub and jetty.Tracey who runs the property is helpful and responsive. Love your vinyl records collections!Will revisit soon when the weather permits..

Character filled charm

Wonderful character & charm. Gorgeous gardens. Peaceful & beautiful. So relaxing. A wonderful escape from the world for a few days. Extremely enjoyable. All facilities excellent.

The Studio is exactly as described — a cosy space designed for travellers who prefer a simple, motel-style setup with a kettle, toaster, microwave, and fridge. It’s ideal for guests out exploring Metung who just need a comfortable base to come back to, which helps us keep it at a more affordable price. For anyone wanting to cook full meals, our Loft offers a complete kitchen and is reflected in its higher rate. I’m sorry this wasn’t the right fit for your stay, but I truly appreciate you pointing it out so future guests can book the space that best suits their needs. Hopefully next time the Loft would be a better match — we’d love to welcome you back.

comfy stay in a secluded area

We had a great time at the studio. We didn’t know the kitchen didn’t have a sink and you needed to take water from the toilet tap. Is it doable but not ideal. Other than that, great stay. Good communication and clean and beautiful studio. Thank you for having us .

I moved to Metung because of my love for the water . Metung is also a lovely dog friendly community with many tracks to explore. Metung feels like a playground for the adults. Once you come, you may never return home.

この宿泊施設の特徴

It holds two separate accommodation properties at 27 Christmas street. Book both studio and loft house for bigger group /family catch ups . The loft house has full kitchen where the studio has breakfast bar only. A pop up sink in bathroom to wash dinnerware.
Both are surrounded by stunning gardens and birdlife.
It is a 1km short walk into town from the accomodation. Private off the street parking.
Travel with you fur babies don't leave them home.
