Welcome to your waterfront retreat & vacation destination! 8 minutes south of Gimli on the shores of Sandy Hook. Wake up to the sound of waves & take in the sunrise over the beach. Relax as you watch sailboats slowly pass by over the breathtaking views of Lake Winnipeg. Take the plunge or paddle across the sheltered waters. Capture the full experience of the area with locally caught walleye, boardwalks, festivals, fireworks & northern lights. This suite features an indoor hot tub from Sept-May.

Beautiful open concept suite featuring two spacious bedrooms, full kitchen, living area, tiled bathroom, and hot tub room.

Primary bedroom has a queen bed, secondary bedroom has a double bed. Both bedrooms include dimmable pot lights, individual wall heaters, and soundproof insulation.

Kitchen comes complete with everything you need to enjoy a home cooked meal. Dining area features a custom granite counter height table seating five.

The living area features a smart TV with Starlink internet to stream your favourite TV shows and movies. Or spend the evening reading a book beside the cozy natural gas fireplace. Got a competitive side? Foosball table available in suite.

Bright & brilliant tiled bathroom. Wash your worries away in the large rain shower and step out onto a heated bathroom floor. Plenty of room to hang shower & spa towels on custom towel rack.

Need to warm up after a day on the lake? Find ultimate relaxation in the indoor spa room with 6-person hot tub and cedar plank walls. Hot tub available from September – May. Not available June – August.

To note, the hosts live on the property. This guest suite is part of a larger bungalow. The suite has its own entrance and living spaces, separate from the main house. Backyard is unavailable from May- Sept 2026 as it will be undergoing landscaping. Guests can walk to the beach via public access adjacent to the suite.

Location was easy to find and no issues entering the property. Property was very clean and description/amenities was accurate. Kate answered any questions I had. Great place to relax for the weekend.

Cozy but spacious living area, comfortable and very clean. The fireplace added to the cozy atmosphere, and was efficient at warming up the cabin. The hot tub was relaxing and very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed and we didn’t need to bring any of our own dishes or cutlery. The bathroom was clean and functional and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. They provided us with towels and even though we ended up bringing our own shampoo, they provided that as well! They also provided a hair dryer and striaghtener, bags for the garbage, and entertainment like a smart TV and HDMI cable to hook up as well. We loved that they had a washer and dryer available for us to clean our laundry and the towels we used.

Quaint, clean and beautifully updated suite - outdoor needs attention

We loved our stay at this Vrbo. Everything indoors was clean, updated, loved the heated bathroom floors. Beds were very comfortable. Having laundry in suite is wonderful. The only reason this property received a “4” was. because the yardsite needed attention. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Would go back!

Ice fishing weekend

Incredible place right on the water and next to an access road to the lake. The home was beautiful and very comfortable. The hot tub after a day ice fishing was perfect. Communication was great as well.

Relaxing retreat

We were so impressed with this rental. It was so nice to warm up in the indoor hot tub after a day of ice fishing. The bathroom was immaculate, the place was clean and clearly well taken care of, and it just felt so homey. Although it’s attached to the owners house, you would have no idea when you’re in the rental space. It was very private and cozy.10/10 recommend.

Modern comfort

The place was clean, organized and well decorated. All the right small appliances. Nothing extra was needed. It was quiet and peaceful. On the lake was perfect for walks along the beach and sitting out at sunset.

Loved our stay

We stayed for 6 nights and were happy we chose this place. We had a picnic in the back yard and Daniel came out and started a bonfire for us. Location is steps to the beach. Hot tub was excellent. Only recommendation is that because of our longer stay we could have used clothes hanger/hooks in the bedrooms.

Summer friends trip!

Stayed 2 nights here in August, property was in a terrific location with access to the beach just steps from the door. 10 minutes to gimli and a few minutes from award winning burger place. Hosts allowed access to the BBQ and fire pit and were very easy to deal with! Would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

My husband Dan and I grew up enjoying Manitoba’s beaches and were thrilled when we were finally able to buy a lakefront property of our own. We enjoy staying active regardless of the weather, cross-country skiing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and walking our Portuguese Water Dog along the water’s edge.

Living and working locally, we have been able to experience firsthand the reasons why people keep coming back year after year. Sandy Hook emits a positive energy all year round with festivals throughout the summer and prime ice fishing in the winter.

We hope that you enjoy your stay in our waterfront guesthouse, and take in everything that this area has to offer.
