The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable overall, making it appealing for a family getaway.Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay. The day before arrival, we were informed that the dishwasher was broken and could not be repaired in time. Low-quality disposable plates and cutlery were provided, but we still had to wash dishes by hand throughout our stay.We had brought our family together to celebrate my mother’s 89th birthday. My husband and I were organizing the celebration and preparing the birthday meal while caring for two elderly family members and our adult son, who is blind and autistic. With so much already to manage, the extra work was particularly inconvenient.The entrance light was not working when we arrived after dark. In addition, the upstairs shower door came off its track and fell toward a family member. Fortunately, no one was hurt, and management arranged repairs the following day.We appreciated the prompt response to the shower door issue. Management also offered a partial refund for the dishwasher inconvenience. As of this review, we have not yet received it. We hope the promised compensation will be completed soon.Overall, the house itself was lovely, but the maintenance issues and resulting inconvenience detracted from our experience.

We loved this home and its history. What a throwback in a good way! The house was spit and span. It had all the amenities of home! My son got married in the highland lighthouse! It was a beautiful week making memories.That's what it's all about!

This property is ideally located

The property was ideally located that gave us quick access to beaches and all that PTown has to offer. The design of the house offers privacy for family or friends with the primary suite and guest bedrooms at opposite ends of the house. The management company was promptly responsive to our questions and minor issues. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.

Perfect Get Away!

This was a lovely, refreshing spot of the Cape cod. Wonderful location, warm welcome, host was welcoming and helpful. Beautiful views, Perfect get away, we spent many hours on the fabulous deck. The deck is a beautiful space, with seating and a large picnic table, and a great grill. We were a short drive to many beaches. Perfect location from which to explore the amazing Cape Cod Beaches. Highly recommend this property for families, singles or couples.

2nd time at this airy and comfortable house with kitschy interior at great location. Air conditioning situation in secondary bedrooms was cobbled together with tape (!) and not workable but luckily weather was cool after 2nd day.

Great Location

House was airy and comfortable, close to the bay in a great neighborhood. Well appointed and kitschy interior. Only issue we had was vertical louvres missing and needing repair upon arrival. Eventually replaced with curtains by management. Would definitely book again!

The home was like stepping back in time , however it was so terribly hot when we checked in , home is not sized properly for the guests rooms ( my husband and I own a HVAC company , for A/C. A man came with 2 floor units but could not run both without a fuse blowing , therefore we only could run one floor unit , the house itself was clean had great character , very quiet , and had great kitchen with all you needed for preparing meals , great outdoor deck and privacy .

I’m so glad you enjoyed the clean home, the character of its retro design, the well-equipped kitchen, and the privacy of the outdoor deck—those are some of the things that make this property such a unique Truro retreat! I hear your concerns about the challenges with the supplemental portable AC units. During your stay, my team delivered floor units to help, though I understand it was inconvenient that you could only run one at a time without tripping a fuse. The home is equipped with a split system for heating and cooling, I’ll have my maintenance team review the electrical load and placement of cooling units to avoid similar situations in the future. I appreciate your feedback, and I’m happy you were also able to enjoy the comfort, quiet location, and the character of this special home. I’d love the chance to host you again so you can enjoy an even more comfortable stay.
