Simple & Stylish One Bedroom Suite @ Harbor Landing

My prior reviews on Vrbo and Airbnb reflect my professionalism as a host. The suite was cleaned and in good condition at check-in, with access details sent in advance.The guest asked if she could use the washing machine which i responded yes, from her second day, she did laundry daily, and while frequent laundry was not an issue, it is worth noting given later concerns about utilities. A workman came to attend to an issue in the furnace room,and later came back the next day, he noted that lights and a fan were repeatedly left on while the suite was unoccupied. The guest also cooked frequently without using the vent, triggering the smoke alarm several times, which I did not initially address.The kitchen sink was in good condition before arrival. When a leak was reported, I promptly arranged repairs at the guest’s request to be present. The handyman confirmed the issue was caused by food blockage. A neighbour also reported garbage left outside the entrance for days, which the guest acknowledged. Claims that there were no pans or cleaning supplies are inaccurate, as the suite was stocked. The listing advertised a queen bed; a futon was not listed for sleeping. Despite this, I offered to replace the futon and provide a temporary mattress. When I later reminded the guest to turn off appliances when leaving,she became verbally abusive, and I chose to disengage respectfully.This was my first experience dealing with a guest like this, i informed VRBO on the 3rd day,no action taken.
