We enjoyed our stay , it was a much needed getaway... even tho we didn't get to meet the host . We meet Lyza their dog .. She was very friendly... the host was very responsive when text them ask them a question...the place was awesome, the amenities was great., we really loved the shower ..we can't wait to go back ... we mite they a different room . But the Canada is so comfy , it was a great place a home away from home...

Amazing Getaway

It was the perfect getaway from the world. The room was cozy and gave a sense of being out in the wilderness. Perfect distance from any nature/hiking trails. Our only complaint was that we didn't book a longer stay.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Canada flat. The room was clean and decor was beautiful. We will consider staying agsin on our next trip to Mentone.

Peaceful and Perfect!

What a hidden gem! We stayed in the Canada Room - it was very clean, really well appointed with all the necessities, and we loved the decor! Everything was really easy with check in, and the owners were super helpful and very kind. If you're looking for peace & tranquility among the wilderness, this is it!

Great Getaway

Ray and Bobby the property owners were exceptionally accommodating. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great hiking trail and beautiful property. Close proximity to Desoto State Park and Mentone. My wife and I had a relaxing two day escape from the city.

Amazing attention to detail

We stayed in the Canada room and loved all of the beautiful touches. The attention to detail and all of the extras were great. The couch had a recliner which was a nice surprise. Bobbie was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We also had a nice hike from the property. The night sky was also spectacular.

Unplugged Weekend

What a cozy, comfortable, and affordable place to stay. Bobbie was a gracious host that provided outstanding hospitality. This flat is located in a beautiful and serene area surrounded by nature. Everything is a close drive, such as Desoto Falls and Mentone town. If you are looking for a cost getaway, this is your place. Just make sure you grab your necessities before nestling in because this is a remote area with the next town 15-20 minutes away.

Fantastic!

Ms. Bobbie and her husband were such gracious hosts. They are so patient and so helpful. We arrived at night and we weren't sure where to go, and they both helped get us to their little place. The cabin was so nice and was perfect for a weekend getaway. The surrounding area was beautiful and close to many attractions that we could explore. Overall, an absolute five star experience! Thank you Bobbie!

Hiking, Waterfalls, Colors... Get-a-way

We booked only a couple of weeks earlier and Bobbie quickly responded. We wanted to experience Fall colors, waterfalls, and hiking before the season passed. We were not disappointed. The fact there was no Internet was not a problem; however, cell service was spotty and trying to research which hikes & waterfalls to visit was a bit challenging. But that was our issue, NOT the host. Bobbie quickly responded to our questions and provided several suggestions. The room was well kept, very comfortable bed & pillows. We cooked most of our own meals and enjoyed the view from the humongous 2d floor deck. Thanks for hosting a great getaway.

Amazing spot to get back to nature and relax super clean and comfy.

This property was spectacular. The room thoughtful designed and well appointed. King bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. If you are looking for a place to get away form it all and get back to nature this is your place!! I was greeted by Bobbie and she was very kind, informative and just a quick call or text away. The property it’s self was well maintained. Hiking trails were amazing. One will lead you to a swimming hole. There is a catch and release pond. Fire pit. And you are very conveniently located to all natural attractions. Mentone was about a 15 minute drive. We ate a Elevation Bistro. Food was amazing and service was even better. My suggestion to make a reservation here or at the Wildflower Cafe. Grocery shopping is something you will want to do at a larger city before your stay. We shopped in Ft Payne. However there is a Family Dollar and Dollar General not to far away. We definitely will be back.

Perfect Getaway

My husband enjoyed our quite weekend at the property! We enjoyed hiking, fishing and the location was close to the town of Mentone to eat and walk around. Our room was very nicely decorated and clean!

Amazing Labor Day Weekend Getaway

Amazing designs despite it being a studio unit. The shower tower worked wonderfully, the water was clean, the unit smelled freshly of wood, the bed was comfortable enough to give me some of the best nights and mornings I've ever had, and it had everything we ever needed. The owners were very communicative and provided easy directions to get somewhere we would otherwise be lost at. They are working on other themed rooms and I can't wait to see how they turn out. We will definitely be visiting again. They put in a lot of work with these rooms and it shows! My wife and I had a lot to do since it was so close to the Desoto National Park and it was the perfect sanctuary for us.

WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE!!!!!

Heaven on Earth is the only way I can describe it. The cabin was clean, comfortable and very spacious, the beds were amazing. Has everything you need and more. Its very convenient to all of the parks and sites to visit in the area. You can access the Desoto Park trails right from the cabin. There is a great trail that goes to a spectacular swimming hole right in your back yard. One of the best places I have ever stayed. I would highly recommend it. The owners of the property are fantastic to deal with and made sure we were comfortable. Easy to access with any vehicle. If you appreciate mother nature and being surrounded with beautiful scenery, then this is the place for you. You can't go wrong staying on this property. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your little slice of heaven on earth. Pete & Betsy.

Quiet, quaint, great trails, hidden water areas.

Relaxing, nature friendly, bike trails, waterfalls, pack to stay, few places to shop. It is for the family who likes the outdoor life. Fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking and swimming.
