Cozy heated cabin! With fans too for those warm summer days. AmaImg river views and canoeing experience is an added bonus. Host was kind enough to provide firewood for our stay during fall. Overall a nice place to disconnect and enjoy the peace and tranquility!

The place was even better in person, the canoes were so much, and the view was to die for. The host was nothing but kinda and welcoming!! 12/10 might need to come back

Gorgeous & Quiet river! Lots of fish (daughter was happy to catch walleye, rock, small & large mouth bass). Worms worked best but lures worked too. Loved the canoes & swimming right off of dock. Host went above and beyond by leaving a smore’s kit and firewood. Communication and ease was excellent. Neighbours are close but tree covered and didn’t hear them at all. The room was quite small & bathroom was through the bedroom- that was only slight inconvenience as we brought a toddler cot for the floor to keep her quiet with early bedtime- but there was no space in the bedroom so she slept in the living room. Still it was a great trip, we went to screaming heads, and several local beaches & playgrounds. Ice cream in town was great too! We would go back.

Exactly as posted and the host is incredibly responsive! Sought a quiet and peaceful time away with water access and got it in full. Recommend trying out the nearby ice cream parlour in Dunchurch.

Beautiful location

Had a wonderful weekend here with the stunning views, cozy cottage, and peaceful atmosphere.The host, Liz, was very accomodating and helpful. Thank you for sharing your cottage!

Our stay at whitestone

Liz is a wonderful host, very consistent in communication. The vrbo property is a bit out of cellular range, and the cottage doesn’t have wifi so very good to truly disconnect from the electronic world. We caught fish everyday, enjoyed some bbq and were able to enjoy our long weekend away thoroughly. The neighbours both have dogs, and the one dog was friendly enough to come over and say hello to our pup! Just a heads up if you have a dog who isn’t good with other dogs to be aware that you may have a visitor! The overall property is beautiful and very secluded, the only dock on the lake for a mile either way, and star night skies that take your breath away! Thank you for lending us your lovely property Liz, and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Wish we had a longer stay

A great place for quiet and tranquility, having the water right there was amazing. The screened in porch was perfect for us since it sadly rained alot but it was nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors without being outdoor. Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Nice fishing getaway.

The cottage was clean and the host was BEYOND amazing! It is a great place for a fishing trip. The view of the river from the cottage is gorgeous! Canies were provided and we fished the river every day. There are also lots of deeper lakes close by which is nice. We even popped in to the cute little thrift store up the street. The only downsides are that the neighbours are close by, the hill out back to get to the water is rather large (you cannot tell from the pictures) and if sleeping 4 you will want a mattress topper for the pull out couch. Aside from those two things zero complaints here. Thank you soo much for an amazing few nights!
