great Basecamp for skiing and relaxing.

Enjoy everything Jim Smith Lake has to offer in your own private home. The home includes a bar and poker table in the basement and all the amenities you may need. Outside there are 3 propane fire tables and 1 fire pit to roast marshmallows on, and of course come relax in our 5 man hot tub.
You will get to enjoy the surrounding wildlife while being only 10 mins away from the town of Cranbrook.
We have a pack and play available on the property as well as many games for those rainy days.
Jim Smith lake is a perfect place for your whole family to relax, play and just be together.
during the late spring and summer months Jim Smith Lake is stocked up with fish.
To accommodate our guests we try to allow early check in and late check out where we can.
If there are special requests or a special occasion you are celebrating please let us know.

Fairmont hot springs is 110km.
Radium hot springs 151km from property
Seven golf destinations are all within easy reach of downtown Cranbrook.

The process was flawless, the house exceeded our expectations, the lake was private and quiet. It was all perfect. Could not have had a better stay. I almost feel torn about giving a great review because I want to be able to rent it again next year.

Hidden Gem

Had no idea this lake even existed. It is small - no motor crafts but lots of kayaking and canoeing. The house had lots and lots of space, and was very kid friendly! It is a five minute car ride to the beach which is awesome!! Overall, a fantastic stay!

We brought my elderly parents out to see siblings. The property was a great overall venue for the visit, just right for being away from the city yet close to take a few trips into town to see relatives and pick up some groceries.

Relaxing Getaway

Such a beautiful view! It was the perfect spot for our quiet family getaway. The place itself is cozy, had everything we needed (and more bonuses we loved), with many different areas of the house to sit and relax and enjoy the view. This is also a great home base to explore the surrounding area, which the host provides a great guide of activities and places to check out. The host was so good at communicating with any questions we had and accommodating our requests. We will definitely be back, except this time we will book a longer stay!

Best Ever!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Ambers lake house. We didn’t want to go back home. So many wonderful memories we have made here. S’mores by the fire. Hot tub relaxing, paddle boarding, and the list goes on. Absolutely loved all the room in the house and the beds were super comfortable. You can tell Amber and her husband have put in a lot of work into their lake house. We hope to be back next year!

There is nothing better then waking up in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee over looking the lake on 1 of our many decks. Our kids love to spend hours on the dock swimming and taking in the sun.
