Very nice place on the river. The main house sleeps 3 couple comfortably and is really nice. The boathouse is its own 1 bedroom apartment and is very comfortable for a couple. Very clean and accommodating.

We had 10 people stay at the house. It is beautiful on the deck. Lots of perch and small fish to catch for the kids. Kayaks were fun. Overall, it is a nice, basic place - decent beds, shower, and A/C. The two issues we had were that there was no dishwasher and things you might normally see at a rental (such as aluminum foil or a brush to clean the BBQ grill) were not there.

We enjoyed this house this week because it gave us a place to gather out of town family under one roof for a funeral. We laughed and talked and got to be together in way that would not have been possible in a hotel. If you like to fish, this would not disappoint.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We carefully design our listing to highlight our peaceful, secluded setting, which is perfect for travelers looking to unplug and enjoy nature. While our rural location near the water is a big part of the home's charm, we know it means nature occasionally tries to join us indoors. To keep the property comfortable and guest-ready, we maintain a steady professional pest control schedule and utilize a dedicated cleaning team that thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the home between every stay. We also pride ourselves on our prompt communication and local support, and we're glad our team was able to arrive within minutes to assist you during your trip. We remain focused on delivering a high-quality experience and are confident our high standards will continue to provide a comfortable getaway for our future guests.

East TX at its Best!

My family multi generational family spent a weekend at this lovely property. It's spacious, well appointed & equipped, and very clean. The security gate and fenced yard was especially nice.I highly recommend!

Perfect Spot

This was a great spot on the river with great lodging! It was a great place to rest and relax and the short drive into Jefferson made it even better! Access to the river was super easy because of the boat ramp and that was a plus for us. We appreciated that the house was stocked with those items you sometimes forget or need in a pinch. We had the privilege of meeting the owners and they seem like exceptional people! Book here- you won't be disappointed!!!

Girls' trip

From the moment we drove up to the property we were in love. I had a loss in my family (my spouse), and needed this getaway. The boat house was a source of solace for me. The rest of the property, including the dock (!!!!), full kitchen, and ease of check in and check out was wonderful. Will be back.

Country Bayou

Very nice property. Bugs and mosquitoes was a problem outside, so we didn’t get to enjoy the deck outside. The road is quite rough going about 2 miles into the dense woods to the property location. We enjoyed antique shopping and restaurants in the town of Jefferson. All in all the property was very accommodating and peaceful.

Perfect, Perfect Perfect!!!

We needed an escape to recharge our physical and mental batteries and Joli's Bayou provided the charge that we needed. The home is off the beaten path, but is well worth the journey. The attention to detail, the cleanliness and the accommodations were just great. The host and hostess couldn't have been any nicer. We were welcomed with snacks, some of the most comfortable beds and some excellent fishing during our downtime. We WILL return to Jefferson and this will be our retreat Thanks to Roxanne and Burt, you guys are the Best!!
