Escape to our stunning waterfront cottage. This idyllic retreat offers sandy bottom swimming perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. Guests will have access to a paddle boat to explore the serene surroundings and a 40-foot dock for soaking up the sun.
As the day winds down, be sure to gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows while taking in the most beautiful golden hours. And with a BBQ at your disposal, grill up a feast and dine al fresco in the great outdoors.
The space
The cottage has a open living area through out with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The living room hosts a large fold out couch that will comfortably sleep two adults. There is laundry in the maintenance room available for extended stays. We do not use AC but if you open the cottage windows the cool breeze off the river will flow through. The cottage does have a touch of hard water if your asking yourself what’s that smell, while taking a shower. You will find a coffee station with coffee and tea in the cupboard above. The wifi password will be found on the welcome chalkboard as your arrive through the side door. Netflix is available to be logged in and out of during your stay. The cottage has a small office space with desk for your convenience.
Please note the cottage is in the country and by the water. There will be bugs that may find their way into the home. The cottage does have hard water, there is a filtration in place, it is safe to drink, cook and bath in. A brita is supplied in the fridge for guests.
Please ask us about the available kayak rentals. We can have them delivered to you or pick up and browse our local shops.
Guest access
Each guest will receive a check-in code the day of arrival. If there is any trouble with the code please contact me. There is only space for 4 cars to be parked. If you need additional parking please contact us.
Other things to note
You will find a paddle boat for guests use by the dock. Life jackets are available in the front closet by the side door. A fire pit is tucked into a corner next to the small utility shed. Please use it on the cement pad and return it to its home once coals are cold to avoid it being blown over. Wood is not included with your stay. You can purchase some in town (Lancaster) just a couple mins away. There is lawn games available in the laundry room as well as cleaning supplies.
