The Modern Lodge Retreat with INFRARED SAUNA & Amenities for Rest and Relaxation

Our Modern Lodge is the perfect home away from home with some added benefits you wont find at other stays. If you are on a business trip, family trip, romantic getaway, etc. this stay will top all others. We have provided a family zone, some board games to play on nights in, the little library, space to work out, a fire pit, and last but definitely not least a two person infrared sauna for that much needed rest and relaxation at the end of your day. Please note we have a ring camera. PROPERTY: We hope you enjoy our large space with two full bedrooms, including one king and one queen, a full kitchen with an oven, stovetop, fridge, sink, and dishwasher (p.s. there are spices, condiments, and olive oil for your convenience), a dining area, living room, a luxury sauna spa space, laundry area, coffee bar, kids corner, workout equipment, games, our little library where you can take a book, leave a book or just utilize during your stay, a full back yard with access to a fire pit, backing on to a green space which includes a park and leads to great walking trails with mountain views. We have curated this space to be an experience that speaks to all walks of life, it does not matter what kind of trip you are on this space was created to exceed expectations. We also include a park pass you can borrow during your stay to access our beautiful Rocky Mountains! HIGHLIGHTS:

• of course our lovely INFRARED SAUNA, equipped with the coziest robes to maximize relaxation (ps look for the slippers which is one of the little touches we wanted you to enjoy, and feel free to take them home)

• we are located 4 minutes away from a super unique GOLF COURSE, the Links of Gleneagles, with amazing mountain views, book a tee time and don’t forget to check out the driving range with floating tees

• we are located just over an hour away from the world renowned SUNSHINE SKI RESORT, offering incredible skiing and snowboarding in the winter and a wonderful gondola ride leading you to explore flowered meadows in the summer (ps use the Modern Lodges Park Pass during your stay)

• we are located just over an hour away from KANANASKIS NORDIC SPA, offering a warm hot rest repeat experience including outdoor hot tubs, warm tubs, saunas, steam room, fire pits, hammocks, cold plunge, and a cafe (PRO TIP, book the Twilight Soak from 6pm-9pm at basically half price, or book a massage for free access to the hydrotherapy)

• we are located just over and hour and a half from LAKE LOUISE SKI RESORT, our personal favourite in the area offering over 4200 acres of terrain on 4 different mountain faces

• we are located just over 30 minutes away from the CALGARY ZOO, which is great for family’s or also as a date (ps check out ZOO LIGHTS in the winter for a spectacular display of themed lights and hot cocoa)

• we are located just over 30 minutes away from the world class CALGARY STAMPEDE, offering rides, carnival food, rodeos, live music, concerts, games and moooore (PRO TIP, stay with us for lesss than Calgary prices and drive to the C Train Tuscany Station to train to Stampede and avoid the traffic)

• we are located just over 30 minutes away from CALAWAY PARK, a great day activity for the family

• we are located just over an hour away from CANMORE AND BANFF, with access to incredible hiking, food, lakes, and other adventures (PRO TIP, stay with us and don’t spend the Canmore and Banff prices but utilize our park pass during your stay to access all the park has to offer)

• we are located just under an hour away from NAKISKA SKI RESORT, and just over an hour away from NORQUAY SKI RESORT

• we are located just over an hour and a half away from LAKE LOUISE AND MORAINE LAKE (our personal favourite) with the most intense blue colors, the pictures will look photoshopped I promise, this is a must see in the summer

• we are located just over 40 minutes away from a reasonably priced mountain GOLF COURSE, Brewster’s Kananaskis Ranch, which once you play you won’t believe how good the prices are here

• we are located just 7 minutes away from a locally owned SAUNA DAY SPA in cochrane called The Cave, offering a therapeutic experience with multiple saunas, steam rooms and much much more

• we are located just over 30 minutes away from the SADDLEDOME ARENA, go catch a hockey game or one of the many concerts scheduled

This property was beautiful & very clean! We appreciated the small details such as the coffee bar, condiments, labelled bottles for soap/body wash/shampoo, board games, etc. It was so great that all we had to do was bring our clothes/necessities and some food! One minor detail is that we wished there was a little more seating in the living room so we both could have sprawled out after a long day of hiking. However, there was a TV in the bedroom so if we wanted to, we could have spent more time in there lying down! The sauna was a cute touch and felt great after a long day of hiking and exploring. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent! The 2-bedroom unit was bright, clean, fresh, spacious and well-presented. The comfort items like coffee and toiletries were much appreciated. Location is perfect to jump off to Banff or Calgary without having to stay in the city. Hosts were responsive and gracious. Very pleasant stay, and will book again when I'm in the area.

Property was ok. Beds were comfortable. Furnishings were poor at best. Suite was reasonably clean. Outdoor space was not good…weeds everywhere and poorly kept. Entry was downright dangerous after dark. Long uneven path along side of the house with tripping hazards all along the way. Turned my ankle on loose rock on the pavers. Lighting was so dim that it was basically useless.

It’s not terrible but there are some things missing that would make this a great place. The single couch is incredibly uncomfortable, the toilet paper disintegrates on use and they’re missing things like tissues, decorations etc. I can only compare to equal places I’ve stayed that really thought of everything while away from home. it was clean, quiet and comfortable for our two days stay. Host was attentive to questions prior to our stay.

Perfect location with great accommodations.

We stayed at the property to visit the Canadian Rockies and attend the Calgary Stampede. It was clean and quiet. We left every morning and it was a great place to comeback to each evening.

Perfect!

This is the cutest little basement suite for a stay in Cochrane. Ample on-street parking in a quiet neighbourhood. We didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed well stocked and nicely equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the entire unit was super clean (and I’m a clean freak!). Highly recommend this property!

We rented this property for one night at the end of a 5 night, 6 day golf trip. The basement suite was very nicely appointed and decorated in a safe neighborhood only 5 minutes from the Gleneagles golf course. The 2 bedrooms were comfortable with lots of outlets to plug in your media devices. Oleg was very receptive and replied to our questions quickly and efficiently. The only issue we had was that the sofa bed in the living room was not overly comfortable. Overall, this would be an ideal get away for up to 2 couples or adults to enjoy a quiet getaway while golfing or visiting the Cochrane area.

Hidden Gem

This place is just what we were looking for, out of the hustle and bustle of Calgary and Banff/Canmore, but close enough to do day trips in the region. It's a bit more driving but the mountain views on the way make up for it. The park's pass provided was a really nice touch, it's an expense we didn't have to pay and worth saving some time waiting in line at the park entrance! Glen Eagle golf course is just a couple minutes drive and definitely worth checking out, one of the more interesting course layouts I've seen which makes it challenging but fun! The place itself was great, it's a walkout basement with large windows and high ceilings which makes it feel very open and not like a basement at all. The products the hosts provided were very nice, much better quality than anything we've experienced from a hotel. Plus they have some basic spices and condiments which was a nice touch for the home cooked meals we did. They also have some board games which was something different to do instead of just watching tv. We also used the Sauna which was great after a few long days of activities to relax at the end of the day. The local community feels like a small town. We went out to a few local restaurants and didn't have any issues finding parking or having to wait for a table. Overall I'd recommend this place to anyone and it's at the top of our list for future visits to the area!

Wonderful place.

This was a well appointed rental place. The unit is downstairs, but the unit was very quiet, bright, and comfortable inside. There was a slight delay in check-in, but I am sure that that was an unusual circumstance. I highly recommend the place.
