Overall property is as described in listing. Communication with host was great. We had no major issues with the property. I will say there is an old smell to the house and the living room furniture could definitely be more comfortable. I understand it is small so furniture is hard however it was a bit hard to relax with a hard loveseat and a high back chair. If 4 people were to stay you would not have enough seating in the livingroom. The area was quiet and peaceful.

We found the cottage to be a nice comfortable place in a quite location, but close to almost anything you want to do in Door County.

Awesome cabin in Quiet Gills Rock

Neat clean little cabin was just right for the three of us. We loved being away from the craziness of the busy towns when it came to winding down for the night. Updated interior. Just what we were looking for.

Nice stay at Gil’s rock

This was a good experience. We are a family of 5 and used a blow up mattress so there was ample room. Good location and a nice stay. Responsive owners.

The location was perfect. The view superb. The accommodations met our every expectations. I highly recommend this cabin. We have been many time to DC and we never stayed in Gills Rock which made for a different visit. Five minutes to the ferry to Washington Island gave us an unhassled day on the island. All in all, we would gladly return.

Fall getaway

We were very happy with this cozy clean cottage. Gills Rock is very peaceful. The hosts were prompt in answering any questions we had. We were able to walk to see the sunsets at night and have patio fire. It was nice we could bring our dog along. Great location for sightseeing.

Clean, private, nice view, good for small children

We had a great experience staying here! Within walking distance to a great coffee shop called gills rock coffee and the shoreline restaurant. Nice view for a fire at night. The size was great for our small child and dog. Kitchen was a good size to make meals when we didn’t want to venture out. We will definitely keep this place in mind for another stay!!
