The apartment is in a fantastic location and a lovely building, with an excellent pool and outdoor area. The river is just a stone’s throw away, with great walking paths and parks, while ferries are less than a 500m walk away and provide easy access to many inner-Brisbane attractions. Buses are also nearby, and you’re right in the heart of the lively Newstead precinct.Unfortunately, the apartment itself wasn’t prepared to the standard we expected. One of our family members cleans professionally and ended up spending time giving the unit a proper clean. The toilet cistern took around 30 minutes to refill after each flush, which was a significant inconvenience with four people staying. The second bed was also very loose and squeaked throughout the night until we found some tools and tightened the bed-base bolts ourselves.This could easily be a five-star stay if these maintenance issues were addressed and more attention was paid to cleaning and preparing the apartment between guests. The building and location themselves are excellent.
