Location is 15 minutes of the highway, Worth the drive, on a peninsula looking straight out onto Lake Superior. Safe neighborhood of cottage owners, Very little traffic on road, excellent for dog walks. So very quiet! Just the wind and the waves! Amazing sunsets!Well furnished with good kitchen utensils. Heating if needed. No TV but that's ok lots of DVD's or bring your own. Mobile signal ok.Buy your food supplies when you are in Sault St Marie it is you last point for groceries.Overall great value! We would go back again. R&R

We spent a relaxing week and left feeling very rested. Private retreat in a natural setting with all the basic amenities. We really enjoyed the rocky beach where we could play/swim with our dogs and read our books. Amazing sunsets.

Perfect lakeside peace!

We loved our stay at this little piece of paradise on Lake Superior. We never saw any other people or boats for our entire stay. The lake was our constant companion with its many moods. Quiet and still to loud and rough. The cabin was delightful with everything you need.

Staying here was a great decision. The location is perfect for going to area beaches and parks. Allowing our dogs is one of the reasons we chose this cabin and we appreciate this option. A few details were below 5 star, but communication from owner was prompt and things were resolved. Fyi for guests: bring bottled water, tap water is lake water, and have Canadian cash for the trash drop off location 3/bag. Guests are responsible for trash removal and drop off location has certain days and hours of operation.

Wonderful, private cottage on a beautiful lake

We wanted to give this a full 5 stars, because the property is just lovely. It's new and modern and really clean (which is rare from our experience of the area) and directly on lake superior. It's also far enough away from the trans Canada that you don't hear anything other than nature. The only reason we gave it a four star overall (wish I could do half stars to make it a 4.5) is just that we spent the first few days without running water due to a technical issue. The host had great communication and worked with us to get it fixed as quickly as possible but when you have two kids under the age of two, not having running water is a bit difficult. If that hadn't occurred, it would have been full stars across the board. Would definitely recommend and could definitely see ourselves going back for another stay.

Our stay at this stunning cabin in the heart of the Canadian wilderness was nothing short of magical. It was an incredible stay. Being steps from Lake Superior was amazing. It was so nice to have a private rock beach to relax at, and sand beaches were a short drive away. The host was wonderful and communicated local information in a timely manner. It was a fabulous experience and would recommend for future stays.
