We had to evacuate here for Hurricane Milton, and this hotel was fantastic! They were flexible and accommodating. Spacious rooms and very nice property. Highly recommended!

Convenient for my needs. Too many road / construction crews checked in after me, noisy drinkers left public areas filthy. Passed out drunkards in the stairwells. Reported to management - resolved the following day

Not so great area. Nice apartment, not great overall property. No supervision at night so it got a little rough with parties and people coming and going. Said smoke free, no. Said pet friendly, kinda.

Tyler is the GM and he’s amazing! Loved the property. Had some issues with the WiFi but probably user error. I think the water pressure in the shower could be better and the quality of the towels and washcloths are not the best. However, it’s a new property, great price point and I’ll definitely stay again!

The cleaning was the only problem, besides that everything was perfect. The lady in the front desk is so sweet and very professional. I really liked the city sad so I had to leave sooner.

The WiFi was very spotty and insecure. No dishsoap, only dishwasher tablet. Pizza pan in oven was rusty where the pizza had been sliced. (Room 214)

I loved the ease of check in, using the digital key and newness of the property. Lots of nice but simple features. I would have rated 5 stars, but it was clear the mattress cover for the hide-a-bed had been slept on, folded away and never changed by housekeeping. Some prior guest had used it, stained it in two places and it looked like they had dirt or grease on their feet. These things should always be checked by housekeeping.

Dirty, Loud, and Nobody Works There

StayAPT is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are filthy. The bathroom door had black scuff marks all over it. There was a bloody drip down the wall in the bathroom. I requested an extra pair of sheets for the pullout bed and they were stained. Plus we saw multiple cockroaches. If that’s not bad enough, the staff is nowhere to be found when there are issues. The people next to us started blaring music at 5:45am and did not stop until the afternoon. Since there was no staff around to report them to (don’t believe the bs they tell you about calling the after hours number) multiple people started yelling at them to turn their music off. That didn’t work and they continued to wake everyone up. It was so bad we checked out early and went to a different hotel. Honestly, don’t bother staying here.

I liked having an apartment like hotel but the front desk staff I believe Heather was very rude. Requested towels and she act like it was a problem because we just checked in day before. Requested toilet paper it took 2 hours. Left my keycard in the room around 4AM and was locked out so called the after hours and she told me this was not an emergency and I had to wait until 9AM! Locked out of my hotel with my 2 and 4 year old for 5 hours!!!!!! SHAME ON STAY APT SUITES OCALA! Never again

The pictures look good, BUT

At first appearance it looked ok, but once we settled in, we started noticing things weren't clean. The floor outside the door was dirty and sticky, the bathroom floor looked like it had been mopped and then walked on while wet leaving dirty shoe prints. Next to the bed and outlet was pulled from the wall. We ended up cleaning the room ourselves, because no staff was around. We stayed for a week, and there is NO room cleaning done for the entire week. If you need towels, you need to take your soiled towels to the desk, and they will exchange them for new ones. (the brochure says as needed, the desk person acted like it was once per week) The beds linens and trash removal are up to you, because no housekeeping is done until after you leave. The Hotel is unattended at night. The staff leaves around 5 and there is no one back until 8 or 9 am. NO ONE! Several nights there were people sitting and drinking in the stairways, one night there was a lady with a cart full of plastic bags and bottles going into a room. Plus, the place is built behind a derelict gas station, and often truckers park out in the front all night. My wife said she didn't feel safe, and admittedly, neither did I. I would NOT recommend this hotel for families with children. It looked great in the photos, but it left much to be desired. And the front desk personnel should find a better place to talk on their phones and smoke, than right in front of a place that claims to be a 100% smoke free facility.

The only real positive about this property is its convenience off of the highway and close to downtown. It’s newer, so on the surface it appears nice, but it’s in a not so nice area, and there were a lot of things they missed the mark on. You’d think from the photos that the rooms are hotel style with interior halls, but it’s a facade. The lobby opens to an open air courtyard in the center, and the room entrances are motel style (exterior doors). There’s only a crappy elevator on one side of the building; we ended up using the stairs. The room “looks” nice but it’s all cheap quality. The bath towels were a joke. Barely big enough for my 3 year old, and paper thin. There was shampoo and body wash provided, but no conditioner or hand soap or dish soap? No paper towels; just one small dish rag. We could hear everything going on in the rooms all around us, from crying babies to blenders running. The main bed was comfortable and clean, but we opened the pull out couch and there was a large stain on the mattress and black crumbs or debris of some kind on it. We did not end up using it. It is pet friendly but there’s no real place to walk a dog around the property, although waste stations are provided on the small strip of grass in the parking lot. Also worth noting that the lobby has operating hours and is not staffed 24/7 like a hotel. We spent 2 nights here and couldn’t wait to leave.
