This unit was in the perfect location to everything. It felt safe due to code locks. It was quiet and a comfortable size for my me and my husband. The unit was very clean, the bathroom was so large and the bed comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped. I highly recommend this property.

Great location, other units would have been better

The accommodation was clean and an excellent location - the downside is that the windows overlooked the exhaust fans to both McDonald’s and KFC. This was extremely loud until around 4am and made the unit smell of fast food the entire duration

Apartment itself was clean, spacious and a good place to stay. Surrounding area is very central which does lead to some noise at night, but overall was nice accommodation.

100% would recommend staying here!

The apartment was absolutely perfect! Very spacious and it is very helpful to have so many amenities including a washer/dryer. Tons of shopping, restaurants within steps and close to all of the local transportation.

Very conveniently located near the rail station and allowed walking to everywhere we wanted to visit. Bit of a challenge for people our age getting luggage up, as the lift started at the first floor and had to take bags up a long staircase from the street entrance (thankfully, the staircase was wide).

Very hot. Windows opened but noise all night from Princes street. People shouting, arguing. Also directly above McDonald and kfc which left an unpleasant smell of fried food all the time. Kitchen area nice, bed comfy but just not as nice as other apartments we’ve staying in in Edinburgh. Located close to station, playhouse, shopping etc which is a plus

The apartment was great! Very clean inside and had everything we needed. It was a perfect location near the train station and between the old and new city. The main entrance could use a little improvement as it was not like the pic I saw when booking the apartment. Other than that all was fantastic!

Overall good property

Place was great. It met our needs perfectly as far as location and space needed. But for mobility challenged not a good choice. Although there is an elevator, there is a flight of 30 stairs that must be climbed to access it. So it was a once down and up per day. Perhaps that should be noted in property description.

The nit was awesome. I felt like I could live there and gave everything I needed. Right in the center if everything you would need to access. The only issue is that the lift is up a flight of stairs snd I had a heavy suitcase. Otherwise the perfect place for a long stay.

Destiny Scotland - St. Andrew's Square was the perfect location for our visit to Edinburgh. Less than 5 minutes from the train station as well as other transportation (Airlink bus to the airport was especially handy). Plenty of restaurants in the area - Rose Street was our favorite place to find dinner. Close to Sainsbury's for groceries as well. The apartment had everything we could need for a long-term stay and was comfortable enough. The washer/dryer combo wasn't as useful as we would've liked - it took a long time to work through the cycles and was noisy. But overall, we would stay here again.

Above KFC so a few odours and a bit of noise but nothing more than expected as it is located right in the centre of Edinburgh. Parking is available nearby but very limited (Ideally located for trams and train though). Nice big room and very comfy, well equipped. Room is up a flight of stairs so not suitable for some. Very reasonably priced, and I would use Destiny Scotland again without a doubt.

Destiny is loud

The Destiny Apartments were clean and well kept. The location made for very easy access to pretty much wherever you want to go in Edinburgh with access to the tram within a 3 minute walk. Multiple historic and monuments, museums, and other amazing locations are also within a short walk. That said, the apartments can get hot in the summer months as there is no air conditioning (only heating) and the windows only open about 2 inches, making airflow through the apartment minimal. It is also immediately off a busy street and near several bars and nightlife, which are all active until well into the night, so if you’re looking for a quiet place - this is not it.

Very good....but.........

Overall the stay was great,the apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we needed,as well as being in a prime location. However there were 2 things that let it down slightly for us, Number 1,our apartment was at the back of the building and it was pretty noisy,with deliveries arriving at 4 am and bins being emptied early on as well,we ended up using ear plugs. Number 2,during booking it mentioned that there was a lift from the first floor onwards........what wasn't mentioned is the 30 odd steps to climb with luggage before you get to the lift!, anyone with heavy bags or maybe a pram would have really struggled I'd imagine. Other than that it was fine.

Close to great.

The apartment was beautiful and the location could not be beat. Steps from restaurants and parks and close to the action of Princes street. However a couple of things were less than ideal. First, the dryer was inoperable. Clothes would was and the heat of the dryer would come on, but the clothes wouldn’t dry. Second, the windows let in a significant amount of light at night, this combined with no fans, made sleep a bit challenging. Overall a really nice place but a couple of improvements couple be made to be an outstanding experience.
