Home away from home
The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. Staff was friendly. The rooms are large and well equiped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The resort is more a home away from home then a hotel.

The property in general but specially the villa was above our expectations. Super recommended for families with little kids. We really enjoyed and are thinking of coming back soon.

Property is beautiful and the pools and beach were wonderful. The staff was great and very accommodating.
Our room was in need of a few updates (dishwasher) and it was a handicap room so we wished the shower had at least a curtain. There was some construction going on, but overall, fantastic resort.

This maybe one of the most beautiful units in the Marriott Vacation Club. The kitchen was modem and full equipmentmen. We did not use the restaurants since we ate in the unit. The beach and the pools are very nice. The sunset was incredible.

The reason communication was terrible is because the beach was contaminated and they did not warn guests of the risk. (DOH-Collier issues water quality health advisory on three Marco Island beaches; E coli at issue)
The hotel has very good facilities and fun activities for children and adults. They charge $30 per night for parking, that's something new. We went in July and we didn't have to pay for

The beach was crowded with people from outside of the hotel with music so loud that we couldnt rest on the sand quiet. I suggest to take care of that specially if we are paying such a high rate for our villa-

The property is extremely nice and very well kept. Our rental was actually a two bedroom apartment with views of the street and lateral view of the water. Immaculate and luxurious, huge full kitchen and large balcony, comfortable bathrooms etc
The pools on site were large and accommodated a large number of people (there are two of them, one on each level) and the property itself is very well cared for. Staff at the bars and restaurant on site are very nice and the front desk staff couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating. I proposed to my now fiancé during this trip over New Year’s Eve and the staff helped me decorate the room per my request while we were away at dinner on the 31st and even provided us very nice champagne for the post midnight toast. I was super happy and will gladly stay with them again when visiting marco island

They only give one parking permit per apartment and they don't give another option! How is it possible for 8 people to fit in a car? The people at the reception are very rude and we ask to speak to the manager and they are also rude and they send you to park in the shopping malls, across the street, it does not matter if you have children or people with disabilities

This is a beautiful place to stay. People were nice. The only thing was not happy about, is that I took a shower and went to dry off with the towel and the towel had a big stain. Sorry to say but it looked like feces and I had wiped my face with it. I was grossed out the whole day. I did complaint and they were nice, apologizing and told me that they were going to send someone to change our towels and clean the room. When we came back. It never happened, We asked them again but still nobody came to change the towels. The hotel is beautiful but service wasn't as expected.

really frustrating that when i called hotel directly (at this point i have been told that there are no workers who do reservations at the hotel and that I must have been transferred) to make a reservation they offered me two free kids breakfasts with our stay. I would not have known to ask for that.
when we went down for breakfast the server had no idea our breakfast was free and she suggested i go to the front desk.
we would have never gotten a full buffet for the kids as one of them ordered only cereal and one ordered pancakes. and we prob would have just went somehwere else where my omelet wouldnt have been $22. insane price for an omelet with nonorganic ingredients.
the lady at the front desk was not kind smiley or helpful and said it wasnt the hotels fault it was reservations fault. when i showed her the phone number i called she said ow that was our number but they must have transferred you. i then asked to talk to the manager. everyone passed on the blame and was pretty rude at your hotel.
if someone is going to be offering free breakfasts but actually lying its a pretty low way to sell a room. just dont even offer that if you cant live up to that. I would expect that from somewhere other than a higher level mariott
