This was a wonderful haven of peace in a very beautiful but very busy area. Everything was very clean and comfortable and it was great having the studio as it gave us space to eat there if we wanted. The restaurant at the bottom of the stairs was great too. Brilliant location, right in the heart of the old city.

This property was in a fantastic location in the old town. The room was lovely, clean and had the essentials in the kitchen area. For us the roof terrace was a definite bonus giving amazing views over the city. Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestion for local attractions. Communication through expedia chat was very quick. would highly recommend.

Outstanding stay at Roko House

Loved staying at Roko House! The location is unbeatable, right in Old Town, and Llerca made our checkin very easy! The hotel restaurant has excellent food, friendly service, and great prices, and there are also many food options within a couple of minutes. I would definitely stay here again!!!

It was small but very clean and decorated nicely. It is really fun to stay right in the heart of the old city. We noticed that some similar apartments were located WAY up on the old streets, which would make coming and going very arduous. The only staircase involved at this property is the indoor staircase, so it was quite manageable for us.

I really enjoyed my stay here! Host was excellent upon check-in, showing me a map of the city and highlighting key things to see and do—along with local grocery stores and other important things to note! Room was perfect size and very clean. As this place is in the heart of the Old Town, there are restaurants below, so you can hear some noise from the outside at night but it’s minimal when the windows are closed. Very walkable to everything and would highly recommend this place.

Take me back

A last minute trip change landed me in Dubrovnik and I couldn’t be happier. What a magical place, and my stay at Roko was a nice complement to my time there. The location couldn’t have been better to explore the Old City, access the port for trips out to Lukrom, etc. The caretaker was kind and efficient and, has been mentioned by others, the convenience of the discounted restaurant downstairs was a nice perk. I would stay again for sure.

Fantastic property right in the middle of the old town so easy access to all the local area. Room was very nice and spacious, clean and perfect for the duration. The lady/owner who met us was very helpful and informative. The restaurant below, Nico’s Trattoria was fantastic and we enjoyed dining there on 3 occasions. Great and very friendly staff who have a good working relationship with the Roko House owner. 5star all around, highly recommended.

Had a great time at Roko House. No frills, but had everything we needed in a great central location. Lots of stairs but we didn't mind the exercise! It can be a bit noisy at night during the busy summer season, but I actually liked the murmur of the crowd as white noise for sleeping. The AC worked wonderfully in hot hot temps and the staff were all extremely accomodating and communicative! I'd stay here again and reccomend it for anyone visiting Dubrovnik!

Great!

The location is central in Dubrovnik old town, room is clean and a great discount in the restaurant (lunch+dinner). Location is 2 min from the main fountain. We stayed two nights and where greeted at the door by our wounderful host. Room was clean, had a small kitchenett and aircon. We missed the rooftopp but had dinner at the house restaurant twice, both times with a really great discount as we were staying in the apartments. Can really recommend!

Just be aware of this place is loud as hell. But I'm complaining, because I like to get up early, but it is extremely loud lol. But the most comfortable bed I've ever been in, and a kick ass shower. A good value for the money

Great property close to entrance of old town. Has everything you need for long or short stays and extremely clean. It's on the 3rd floor so lots of stairs and has a rooftop terrace. Only thing was it was difficult to communicate with host for check in process when I had to service and no check in details or confirmation. There's no front desk here.

Room is extremely small, way overpriced for size, bathroom is tiny, have to share stairs with restaurant which makes it hard to go up and down. Room was extremely warm, never cooled below 22 C. Made us pay cash when that was never communicated and ended up costing us more money

Experience was not as rated

It’s not really a hotel—no toiletries, no daily cleaning, no front desk, no one around, and shower leaks into the rest of the bathrooms. No elevator and three levels to climb—very difficult to find—even locals couldn’t help.

Really small room for the price

The communication was just OK. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and had to rely on a friendly guy from a nearby restaurant to make a call for us. Fortunately we were on the first floor for carrying bags. The room for two people was very small and cramped, with no where to put suitcases. Three days in we found a refrigerator in a cupboard. On the plus side the AC is very good, and the location excellent for seeing Dubrovnik.

Beautiful room with stunning rooftop terrace view

The room was nice, clean and in a very good location. The host contacted us on the day to confirm what time we were arriving and ensured that her nephew was there to greet us and show us the room. There is a restaurant on the ground level and we were offered 20% off meals due to being guests. The food is phenomenal. I wish I had more hours in the day to eat more meals there. They also did up a cheese plate for us one evening to eat on the rooftop terrace. The location of the accommodation is very easy to find and right inside the city walls but out of the busy crowded main streets. There are no stairs to get there but the rooms are up a flight of stairs which is very normal for accommodation places in Croatia in towns. I would highly recommend booking this accommodation, mainly for the terrace. We got to see the most beautiful sunset while enjoying wine and cheese. A lot of other places we were considering booking had a balcony or a view out of the window of the wall, but where much more expensive or the location was not as great.

Great location and place to stay

Stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied. Room is located in an historic building up narrow stairs. The room is very clean and spacious (considering it is in an historic building) with an on suite toilet/shower room. There was a small kitchenette with sink, kettle, basic cutlery and dishes etc. enough for a morning breakfast and for food there are many restaurants around. The location is perfect to explore Dubrovnik and to reach accommodation, as it has no steep city steps to get there, so you can roll your bag all the way to the door, on a 10 minute walk from the main city gate. Restaurant at grd level but noise level during day was minimal and at night, none (Restaurant gives discount to guests). Reception lady friendly and helpful, just keep her up to date if you arriving late on day.

Advertisement on Hotels.com misleading

First of all, it is not an Aparthotel, our economy room at 120€ per night was not equipped with any kitchenette, not even a coffee machine or a kettle, there was only a micro fridge. Secondly the area of the room does not correspond to the 15m² mentioned but it is at best only 12m² bathroom included. Third, we always look for the edge of the beach at 250m, the nearest beach being at 600m. Finally, the icing on the cake, it is not possible to pay for the stay of €360 by credit card. No communication had been sent to us about the possibility of paying by cash in euros, so we had to withdraw this sum in kuna with the 40€ bank charges that go with it :( Conclusions: never again booking on Hotels.com and never again in the center of Dubrovnik where tourists are wrongly considered as wallets on legs!
