The beach here was okay, location is good, buffet didn’t have a variety of food, the wifi doesn’t really work, and room service is not included with the all inclusive package.

Todo el personal estuvo muy atento y amable. Del personal no tengo ninguna queja, al contrario, gracias a ellos mi estancia fue agradable. Sin embargo, la calidad de las comidas, y de las bebidas dejan mucho que desear. En el bufet, no hay selección de alimentos y los que había, no tenían buen sabor. Definitivamente, no volveré a hospedarme allí. Siento que por lo que pagué, yo esperaba mejor calidad de alimentos y de bebidas. Las habitaciones estaban limpias pero ya en necesidad de hacer muchas mejoras. Los muebles son muy viejos y deteriorados. No lo recomiendo.

La verdad no me gustó las bebidas no son de buena calidad, la comida no estaba mala, pero la variedad era súper poquita y sólo había un solo buffet la porción de los postres era de risa, súper diminuta y teníamos que caminar demasiado todos los días para ir al buffet, deberían tener un buffet para las personas que se hospedan en la montaña y el otro para las que se hospedan en la zona de playa, la limpieza de la alberca, pésima con mucha Popo de paloma, lo único bueno que rescate del lugar es que el personal que te atiende es súper amable, en cuanto meseros personas que te atienden en el buffet son súper amables, es lo único bueno que rescate del lugar

Food:There are not 4 restaurants available all the time. There is only one buffet with semi good food. It’s small, they do not replace items in a timely manner. The drinks are water down and hot. The desserts and bread are not appealing are extremely dry. Even the Mexican options are not tasteful. The only delicious menu items are the fruit and the made to offer items (omelets and speciality food). Please note: there are no designated foods for small children. If your child is a picky eater do not come here. They didn’t even have bananas or oranges available. Pools: the pools across the buffet bar are clean and well kept. There is one pool in front of the receptionist desk and that one is outdated with tanning chairs being torn. Hotel room Provided bare minimum of items. They had no running hot water in our room. When we let them know they said it was down and could take up to week and they said they would let us take a shower in another room (was not offered to switch rooms until our last night which by then we declined) and then had to return the key back after each use. We also had a tv with no control. No smoke detectors in any rooms. The electricity in the rooms are tied to the light stands (only lighting in rooms-once the sun goes down you can’t really see anything) so once you turn it off, any items plugged in are also turned off. WIFI-no WiFi was available until the last night of our stay. It was disappointing since we had work and items to look through.

We were surprised when we arrived that our rooms were damaged by a storm, traveling with 10 it took awhile for them to sort out where we were sleeping. We were with cold water all week, and limited dinning. I hope that when they are fully up and running the experience would be different.

We stayed 3 weeks in march. We had my husbands celebration of life in puerto vallarta. He just wanted to go back 1 more time. We love puerto vallarta and its people been coming fir ivr 20 yrs. 1st time at canto del dol. All 22 of us. Where to start. I email months ahead foe a month centrally located and possible ground floor worh balcony. We paid for controlling ac fridge refill daily the other extras. Got in early but no checking til 2ish. Your bags sit in lobby. Not in secure room. Anyone can grab your luggage. We book partial ocean with perks. 1st room was way in 300s and a wall view. Way too far too walk for someone with bad knees. 8Surgeries. Next day mived us to to 105. King size bed and they would bring us a cot. 10 pm at night i went myself and got cot then we begged for linens. About 1140 pm finally got to bed. A/c died. Maintainence couldnt fix. Not like we could open patio door for air ,we didnt have a screen. Our room was 28c. Horribly hot. Finally i got to someone who would finally listen, chris, head guy apparently of guest relation. back up to 3rd floor but we oceanview room and we were suppose to be able to contol temp.not. now no fridge not getting fridge stocked,really..we had room attached to suite.Just open to ajoining door Not hard.Finally,we got door open and they added us to list to refill fridge. THEN people on other side came into our room roaming about. Last straw. They screwed door shut from our side. Nationals treated like royalty. Never again

This property was terrible. No water, no wifi, no AC and even the electricity was being an issue on day2. The pool has not been cleaned in a long time, there was birds flying around the buffet and landing on the hot plate picking at food and the staff did nothing to stop it.

The staff was very friendly although it took me several times to get follow through for some urgent matters. The AC quit on day 2. staff entered our room without permission when we had the do not disturb tag on the door. After much encouragement and not much action from them, we changed rooms. The room we were moved to had no running water. After a couple more hours we changed rooms again.

First of all, the resort was not as advertised. More than half of the resort was shut down due to a storm apparently 2 weeks earlier. So that means only one part of the property was open with one open restaurant, one small pool, one small kiosk bar. Everything else as presented on Expedia was out of order or no access. Including the tennis club and beach access. No WiFi, no hot water. Musty smelling rooms with black mold visible. Air conditioning was not working in first room that we were given, we were moved to a slightly better room with better air con. Greeted by cockroaches in the bathroom in the morning. One operating makeshift kitchen that gave 3 choices of 3 different items in a dinner buffet. No dessert at all, not even a tray set out, not even a bucket of ice cream put out. Remember this is advertised as a 4 star resort. Breakfast was good but limited. When it rained in the evening the halls outside the rooms filled with water. We informed the staff that we were leaving for a proper resort, Expedia attempted they said to obtain a refund for this disaster for me but of course they were unable to make contact with the management. We took a gamble giving an older hotel that wasn't owned by a corporation our business and the reviews seemed to back that. But we were totally deceived and that is so completely unfortunate. People like us save and plan to get away and to be greeted with this experience is unacceptable. I hope the management, if there is one is reading this.

Al llegar, y no ser extranjero te dicen que veas la propiedad y si te gusta te puedes quedar y si no, pues no, ya que tuvieron una inundación y el área que se reservó no está en funcionamiento, supuestamente por ese contratiempo te regalan una cena por cada 2 noches reservadas, te mandan a las habitaciones lo más lejos posible, las camaristas no te asean la habitación y si les encargas que lo hagan se molestan y te lo hacen a medias y de mal modo, no había toallas blancas en la habitación, la gente de recepción no te sabe explicar la situación con empatía, en el único restaurante que había para cenar con reservación la chica que te recibe te hace caras y no explica en qué consiste el menú, dan un menú escrito y a la hora de tomar la orden te cambian todo por qué no lo tienen, no es más fácil decir habladas las opciones y así no quedar mal dando una carta que no tienen, la queja no es solo para el hotel que se entiende perfecto la afectación que tuvieron por las lluvias si no también para Expedia ya que no tuvieron la delicadeza de avisar y explicar lo que al hotel le pasó y sugerir cambios como lo hicieron con los turistas extranjeros, ya que tuve la oportunidad de platicar con algunos y de las opciones que les dieron para mejorar su reservación. También está la parte buena que fue la comida y la calidez de la gente del restaurante bufete de verdad muy amables todos, y que decir de Alfredo eque atiende el bar en camastros y playa su atención y simpatía salvó la vacación

No cambiaron el rollo de papel solo lo dejaron ahí hasta envuelto en su empaque
