Fui enganado pela Expedia.

Reservei o Hotel Don Juan Beach Resort e qual é minha surpresa quando chego ao hotel? O Hotel estava fechado para reforma. Não recebemos nenhum comunicado da Expedia. Fomos orientados por uma pessoa não identificada do hotel a procurar um outro hotel próximo. Chegando lá, localizaram nossa reserva, porém um hotel horrível, sujo, comida ruim e atendimento ruim com quartos totalmente mofados. Contratamos diária com internet free e neste hotel ofereciam apenas 1 hora de internet por dia em um local perto da piscina que não funcionava. Eu minha esposa fomos enganados pela expedia.

Pretty basic hotel. Very limited all inclusive concept. wifi service was very bad. it was my first time at Boca Chica and I don't think I will stay in there any other time

Not bad for the price

From what I read from prior reviews the hotel was exactly as described. When we arrived however they advised they hadn't received our reservation but 10 minutes later they found it. The amenities were average and it is right on the beach which was very nice and it's located in the heart of Boca chica. They had sufficient security so we felt safe while staying at the hotel. The beds were a little firm but it was okay for one night. I would stay here again but probably wouldn't if it were more than 2 days.

Nice hotel nice location on beach

I had all inclusive package. I ate breakfast everyday during my stay here food was alright, after a few days I ate dinner at millionare resturant further down on beach with locals and other tourist because I wanted change of food.

It's a good enough hotel for a relaxing weekend

This hotel is good enough if you're not a snob. My original room was definitely going to be very bad. The AC did not work in that room and they put me into the "El Capitain" suite and it was much, much better. If the AC had worked in my unit, I would have upgraded the original room because it was definitely below my standard. The food that is included was actually very good, many options. A lot better than I've had at other all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. The beach at Don Juan isn't the prettiest beach, but no worries, you can walk next door and grab a bite to eat at the restaurant next door and the beach is much better. It's amazing how much the beach changes in just a few hundred feet. They are very relaxed next door, you can bring your drinks from Don Juan, but honestly, everything is so cheap you dont even need to. The downside to DR is the beach peddlers...they are relentless and plentiful. It really does take away from the beauty of the place; however, you have to remember--these people live in poverty so be forgiving, understanding and polite. The area around the resort is not very safe. Definitely not safe at night, but I'm a large risky guy and did both. At one point, I did have to pay Polica in exchange for them leaving me alone. If you want to go out at night, this is the kind of stuff you might run into anywhere in the Dominican Republic. Use it for a weekend beach getaway, rest up and skip trying to find nightlife.

Disappointing but accessible beach hotel

Upon arrival the staff at the reception needed to reconfirm our reservation although it was made over a week before arriving like if in their system they did not had the reservation. I had to pay USD 7 fee that I was not aware that I needed to pay. The reservation was made requesting ocean/pool view and the room was facing another building. The room had a humidity smell. The TV did not work. There were no entertainment shows. Our room neighbors had teenagers who were making a lot of noise. The beach was beautiful but had lots of sea ​​plants which can make the time at the ocean less pleasant for some people. The food was abundant and tasty. It is near (9km) to the airport and to Santo Domingo (30min driving).

l'hotel è pari a un 2 stelle italiano, non bisogna avere molte pretese né in merito alla ristorazione né in merito ai servizi, in camera non sempre arrivava l'acqua e tanto meno quella calda, comunque lo staff cerca di risolvere le problematiche, anche in merito al cibo quando mancava qualcosa su richiesta la fornivano. Quella che merita lode è la posizione dell'hotel in Boca Chica, direttamente sul mare e sulla Duarte, strada principale e a due passi dalla fermata dell'autobus per la capitale. La spiaggia non è strettamente privata, nel senso che passano gli ambulanti e chiunque altro ma la vigilanza dell'hotel è molto attenta. Il problema è il paesino di Boca Chica che ogni anno regredisce, diventando sempre più squallido.

They Can't speak English, too many kids on beach.. resort was old needed remodeling... only 1 pool for kids always full... balcony door didn't have lock on... wasn't happy and will not go again... food was horrible

Not enough to do there, animationteam perfect only from Thursday till sunday the rest of the week quilt. The must repair a lot pff thinks but they didn't. Cleaning in and arround the swimmingpool is bad condition. When you want to do something else you must travel a while . Someone Save Don Juan Resort

I used to love this place. Has an excellent location would have good activities every night to entertain guests and buffet was decent. All has changed. The food is iffy the entertainment is minimal and the costs has actually went up compared to four years ago. The price charged would be ok if the service was the same but something has happened and its not good for the guests. The lobby service is horrible. Takes 30 minutes if your lucky just to check in even if there is no line. I'm hoping this can be turned aroma nd they need new mananagement fast. Guests pay to get checked in and enjoy the beach not to waste half the vacation day for the check in process and waiting while you take a phone call every two minutes. . It's actually rude.

Did not like the surrounding. Not secure area

Just getting to the hotel was scary. Would not recommend, people following tou and asking for money. You cannot leave the hotel premises.

Good!

Very good! Just the food is not that good.... When u travel you want to try different plates and tasteful.. but food is a 2 out of 5.. overall, staff are really good and decent.
