The rooms were clean and well maintained, and most of the front desk staff were welcoming and accommodating. We appreciated being granted a 30-minute extension when we requested a late checkout. However, the staff member on early morning duty came across as curt and unaccommodating during the request. While we understand if extensions aren’t always possible, a more courteous tone and a brief explanation would have made the interaction more pleasant.
That said, the staff we interacted with later were kind and professional. When I mentioned I needed to return to the room to help my daughter with our luggage, the front desk staff was very understanding and did not rush us. The housekeeping attendant who encountered my daughter was also respectful and considerate.
Overall, the service at the front desk was good—with the exception of that one interaction. A bit of customer service training on communication and tone would be helpful for that staff member. Saying no politely can go a long way in guest experience.
