Property was very clean and all communication handled over WhatsApp. We were moved to a different building the day our booking was meant to start due to maintenance issues. This was all handled via WhatsApp. Reception in different building, 10min walk away.
There were lots of stairs and convoluted hallways - this was difficult for my elderly mother. Sofa bed is actually just a hard sofa that folds at a 90 degree angle. I’d only put a child or person weighing less than 40kgs in it. Other beds and pillows were not comfortable. Sofa “bed” was not made up on arrival, despite asking in booking and repeating through WhatsApp morning of check-in. Was told via WhatsApp I’d need to wait till the second day for bedding to be delivered! Ended up finding some in a closet.
The area is VERY noisy. Loud restaurants directly below the bedrooms & sea birds squawking away (this sounds lovely but at 4am IT IS NOT). Very thin windows and walls. Noisy hallway. And need the windows open to get air as no AC, making it even louder.
Although parking was included - it’s a ten minute walk from the apartment. And no easy place to stop to drop off luggage, especially if loading zones are busy with lorries, etc. The QR code for parking only worked 50% of the time that I used it, which was very frustrating getting in and out of the parking garage.
I only recommend this to people who want to be in the heart of the CBD with no car, don’t need proper rest and aren’t travelling with kids and elderly.
