Booked very last minute (same day), woman at reception as lovely and thorough with her instructions. Room was very clean, nice to have stocked kitchenette. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was quiet in a peaceful neighbourhood, steps from metro. Would stay there again and recommend!!!

Clean and quite large rooms. Walking distance from trains station and Potsdamer Platz. The hotel has a laundry that is free to use which was very convenient. A microwave would have been a nice addition.

Small studio with very friendly staff. Easy access to either the Bulow, Glesdreicke or Kurstendamm Strasse U Bahn train stations. Postdammstrasse, a busy street with a ReWe market is two blocks away down Pohlstrasse. During one of our daily excursions, we were able to walk from the Flottwell to the Brandenburger Tor and back. Took two trips to Potsdam, and the train access was easy.

Overall, the property is good value for money with two negatives: it is a little distant from the centre of activities, like museums. one has to rely on public transportation,eg, metro to go anywhere. The kitchen area is very small and very difficult to prepare a meal. Breakfast is the only meal we prepared.

Did the job

The hotel was clean, quiet and somewhat convenient. A bit of walking is required to get around which was fine for us. Having a kitchen to use was great but we would’ve loved to have a microwave too and dishwasher would’ve been amazing. I did like that there is a laundry room you can use for free (byo detergent). The only thing we didn’t like was in order to get your room made up, you had to hang the card outside your room by 8am and you’d have no idea when your room will be made up. When we asked reception if we could have our room made up while we were gone for the afternoon, they hesitated and explained to us we needed to have the card out by 8am. Our room got made up in the end but it felt unnecessarily difficult. The hotel served its purpose for our stay but I probably wouldn’t stay here again mainly due to the location.

Very clean and comfortable stay!

I had an amazing stay at Flottwell. They let me check in early and I had a great room. The Wifi and internet was great and the place was very clean and comfortable. I will be staying here again in the future! They also rent out bikes and e-bikes and so I recommend grabbing one of those.
