We've been travelling to Mount Desert Island for years. This trip was our first time staying on the "quiet side" of Southwest Harbor/Seawall. The property seemed almost too good to be true from the pictures, yet somehow the pictures don't come close to doing it justice. The views (and sounds) of the water from every part of the home are magnificent. If it weren't for the wildlife, sailboats, and lobster boats passing by, you'd swear it was a painting. Speaking of paintings, you can spend an entire day just admiring the pictures, maps, and decor throughout. It's a home that's been loved with quintessential coastal maine character in every space. The hosts were great and I sincerely appreciated Victoria working with us on our dates. After living in Bar Habor, vacationing in Northeast, and now finally staying in Southwest, this is where we'll stay again before considering anywhere else, and I mean this home specifically. Oh of course there's Acadia, one the greatest National Parks in my opinion. So many great hikes this side of island that are barely 15 minutes away, and far less crowded so you can really take it all in. I'm already starting to plan a trip back in early October! Victoria, we need to talk :)
