The view from this cabin is gorgeous, and the location is peaceful and quiet, which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues that took away from our stay. Several electrical outlets didn’t work, and the dishwasher was missing a wheel on the bottom rack. It also had food left inside when we arrived, which caused an unpleasant smell. There was dog hair on the floors and rugs, the shower door was broken, and several doors throughout the cabin were very difficult to open and close. The shower itself is also extremely small. There were no bath mats provided, only small towels. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. The cabin appears to stay locked at a higher temperature until guests arrive, so it was extremely hot at check-in and took quite a while to cool down. Because of the cabin’s location and windows, it heats up during the day. The thermostat seems to be programmed and wouldn’t stay at the temperature we set except at night. Traveling with an 8-month-old made this especially difficult since we needed the cabin to stay cool for naps and sleeping, not just for ourselves but for our baby as well. What was most disappointing was the owner’s response. Instead of simply acknowledging our concerns and working toward a solution, they seemed more focused on arguing or explaining the issues. Definitely lacking customer service. We still enjoyed most of our stay, just one thing after the other made it very difficult to enjoy.
