Hello Sarah, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’d like to clarify a few items regarding the cabin and your stay. There are two entrances to the cabin. The main-floor entrance has only three steps from the parking area, while the ground-floor entrance has just one step into the cabin. Of the 3 full baths two have walk-in showers with easy step-in access, while the third has a traditional tub-and-shower combination. We’re also glad you appreciated the wooden safety gates located throughout all three decks. We have found these to be especially helpful for families traveling with children or pets. Regarding the door code, we intentionally send access codes approximately 2–3 days prior to check-in. This helps ensure that important arrival information, particularly the door code, does not become lost among earlier reservation emails and property information. Your final payment was made well in advance, on July 7, but the door code is purposely provided closer to arrival. The information you referenced appears to have been generated by VRBO’s artificial-intelligence system and, unfortunately, is not accurate. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention so that I can notify VRBO that this information does not coincide with our rental agreement, property description, or communication templates. We also apologize for the one lightbulb that was out in the bathroom. Had this been mentioned during our phone conversation, I would have gladly had Housekeeping or Maintenance stop by to replace it. That bathroom is equipped with five lightbulbs, and we certainly would have addressed the issue promptly. Regarding the temperature, the inspection department may have adjusted the thermostat setting prior to your arrival. When you called, I was happy to walk you through the thermostat so you would not have to troubleshoot it yourself. At that time, the cabin temperature was 66°F with the thermostat set at 68°F. Lastly, I’d also like to clarify winter access to the property. Our resort and HOA privately own and maintain the roads. During winter weather, we have our own snowplow, as well as salting and sanding equipment, to help keep the resort roads maintained and accessible. Thank you Sheri for the LOVELY 5 star review. We take cleanliness VERY SERIOUS for all of our guests, (travelers) to see and realize we care for our property for all to enjoy. Enjoying board games and the cocktail video game table is a way to pass the time when weather is not cooperative and is a favorite among our guests. The Serta Pedic firm mattresses throughout the premise with a memory foam topper is another key to a comfortable nights sleep and rest for our guests. I want to follow up on this concern. The traveler checked in late Saturday early evening and called me with a concern of remnants of gas. I simply told the traveler that at times dust may or will settle on the gas logs or the wall unit downstairs, when they are turned on it will dissipate. (Never spoke about a water heater which is located in a crawl space nowhere near she smelling of gas).     On Sunday she claimed it was gas and then was instructed by me to shut and turn the control switch to the off position located next to the unit. Our Maintenance personal was there a week before and was performing a walk through with the open date and performed a routine check on all facets for both properties. Nothing at that time was detected at all.     Luckily a technician Monday AM was in the area across the street working on another job was welcomed to enter with me on the travelers’ phone with them and said yes there is a leak Mr. Neglia. I then asked can it be corrected since you were there , he replied and said to call the gas company and place a work order for Tuesday AM 1st, that morning. That is exactly what was done.    Also, I said to the traveler that our HVAC unit heats up the entire home. The wall heater was an addition in 2018 installed by the same gas company SCUD because of the location of this particular room downstairs recessed on the ground floor. The traveler fabricated her story because, I didn’t act quick enough to her satisfaction and wanted some compensation.  I stated that the gas technicians work Monday thru Friday. I offered  her a dollar amount of out of kindness, then the traveler said it wasn’t good enough. The traveler came up with a figure of $660?.    Then she decided to put a sad review with lies, untruthful fictional thoughts. We had every intention to place the compensation to her profile on Monday, (Sunday is our church day). On  Monday was when I noticed the untruthful review and it is quit disturbing , when we do carry a 10/10 score on both properties and been with VRBO since 2016. The work order was done diligently in a business like manner.
