We stayed in this unit for four nights with two guests, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing rentals we have experienced in Destin.Upon entering, we immediately noticed a strong moldy/musty odor. It was significant enough that we had to purchase room deodorizer to make the unit more tolerable. We also found three dirty washcloths and a dirty towel left over the shower, which made us question how thoroughly the unit had been cleaned and inspected before our arrival.The furniture was worn and visibly dirty. The couch, recliner, dining table, and chairs were stained, and the rugs on the floors were also dirty. This was beyond normal wear and tear and gave the entire unit an overall feeling of being poorly maintained and in need of a thorough deep cleaning.The bedding situation was also disappointing. The bunk beds were completely made with linens, but there were no sheets or bedding available for the pull-out sofa. Pillows were provided, but there were no pillowcases. Although there were only two of us, clean and complete bedding should be available for every advertised sleeping space.The bathrooms were very run-down and clearly in need of updating. The television setup was unnecessarily complicated and frustrating to use, and the internet service was terrible and unreliable throughout our stay.We understand that vacation rentals, particularly busy beach properties, will experience normal wear and tear.
