My wife and I have been traveling to St John for several years and we really enjoyed staying at Grande Bay in this studio unit. It was clean, the A/C was strong, and the unit was as advertised. The storage locker had beach chairs that we used at night on Cruz Bay beach right in front of the condos. We ate at High Tide, The Windmill Bar and Lime In, and took open air taxis to the North Shore beaches. We didn’t need to rent a car. An extra experience was renting a boat right in Cruz Bay that we had for the day. We had a great time!

Convienient location, laundry machines were great however the access door was broken so they had a hook to keep it from swinging open that was a bit difficult to latch. Although we did not cook in the unit it appeared to be well stocked. Would return to this revisit this property if we came back to St. John.

We had a great stay. The studio was clean and comfortable. The location was super convenient, and we appreciated having laundry facilities in our unit. We brought coffee and oatmeal with us which worked out great as groceries were very expensive.

We realize that you had your stay unexpectedly extended due to your flight being canceled because of the government shutdown, and we were glad that we were able to extend your stay for a few more days at a reduced rate due to the circumstances. This is an awesome unit and very adequate for our stay! We love to stay at Grande Bay because location is amazing. Close to everything. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and taxis if you don’t have a jeep. The unit does only have a kitchenette . There is a microwave oven but only a hot plate for cooking. We were able to cook breakfast and make sandwiches for the beach. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay.

Can’t wait to come back!

This spot was in the perfect location for a quick walk to town and all of the fun at Carnival!! The place was clean and easy to check in and out. There was even a locker in the garage with beach chairs and accessories that came in handy for our beach days! Communication with the manager was prompt and effective when we had a small AC leak issue. Would 100% stay again and can’t wait to come back

Fabulous stay at Grande Bay!

Truly enjoyed our stay at Grande Bay! Location was super convenient to the ferry dock/taxis and everywhere we wanted to go to in town. The unit was very clean and the bed was so comfy! It was nice to have a washer/dryer as well, and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio for coffee each AM. Highly recommend staying at Grande Bay!

Grand bay favorite

We have stayed in grand bay villas before. We stayed in a studio this time. I think we def like the non studio rooms a little better as there is more room obviously but they def have a bigger bathroom!

Tammy, you sent an inquiry before you booked the studio stating that you needed parking and a kitchen. I recommended that you book our one bedroom unit instead and highlighted the difference between the one bedroom and studio units, including that studio units at Grande Bay do not have dedicated parking spaces. Our site on VRBO includes photos and a 3D virtual tour so you would know exactly what our studio unit looks like. You then booked the studio unit, but before I accepted the reservation request I checked with you to confirm this was the unit that would work for you, and reminded you there was no kitchen and no parking, and you confirmed. 3 weeks before your trip you added an extra night which we were able to accommodate. 2 days before your stay you “decided to rent a Jeep” and asked for assistance with parking. Our property manager went out of her way to accommodate you, even though studio units are not entitled to parking. In the future when giving a review, please consider comfort, cleanliness, host responsiveness, and amenities before giving 4 stars instead of 5 to a property that is exactly as advertised and which accommodated your extra requests. Owners and managers work hard to give 5 star service to guests.

Best Honeymoon

We had a great experience at Grand Bay Resort! Check in was a breeze and the front desk staff was very friendly. The property manager Rachelle was great and even accommodated a parking spot for our jeep rental for the week even though our condo didn’t come with a space. The studio room was located on the first floor and was plenty of space for us! Great balcony, washer & dryer, beach chairs, and beach towels to use during the trip. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! Great location- walking distance to all the restaurants and bars down town. Highly recommend & will definitely be back in the future!

Great place to stay in St John! Can walk from ferry, to all restaurants and open air taxi. Great pool, hot tub. Host was very responsive to questions.

Great Stay

This is our 3rd time staying in the somewhere in the sun studio. Everything was perfect. Cant beat the location. Jack is a pleasure to book with and Rachelle was great communicating with us before arriving. Will stay here again!

Comfort in Cruz Bay

We had a wonderful stay. It was great to be so close to restaurants and shops, but far enough removed that you don’t feel you can escape. The pool offered a great place to unwind after a day at the beach. Lastly, sunsets were magnificent from the balcony each night! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent stay!

My daughter and I greatly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was excellent, from the view and amenities to the staff service to the extremely easy and convenient location. Just a 5 minute walk to the ferry and "downtown" Cruz Bay and just a couple min walk to so many fun bars and restaurants (The Beach Bar, High Tide, The Terrace, Cafe Roma, Rum Hut, Longboard). Also just a 10 min walk to Mongoose Junction shopping plaza and the trailhead to Honeymoon and Salomon beaches. We loved it all!
