This was a beautiful property on the water with good privacy. The "boathouse" section was a huge benefit, as it was perfect for our family members with a baby and young child. Of note, the living room couch is very high-end (expensive), so we took extra caution to keep any food/beverages/sticky fingers away from the couch. The highlight of our visit was a whale making his way through the passage!

Wow! Our family vacation in this gorgeous home could not have been better. The house looked beautiful in the listing and was even more spectacular in person. It is very clean and beautifully furnished and decorated, with a well-stocked kitchen. It accommodated our 3-generation group perfectly. The setting is private and so scenic; we enjoyed watching wildlife (eagles, seals, and even a whale) from the deck, and searching for crabs on the beach. We also kayaked and played in the water, played lawn games, made a beach fire, walked on the beach to the Olalla Market...we stayed 5 nights and didn't want to leave! The host, Annie, was so friendly, responsive, and accommodating. She even offered us dock space for our boat at another property they own during our stay. The whole process and stay, from booking to check-out was a 10/10! We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful home, property and location. My family loved walking the beach at low tide and viewing wildlife right outside our windows. Home had everything we needed and checkin was very easy as was communication with Annie. What a dream to wake up on the Puget Sound!

The location was quiet and secluded, right on the Puget Sound beach next to Vashon Island. The view from the large deck was relaxing in the morning and in the evening, plenty of seating outside. The parking is a bit tight, but doable. The kitchen was well stocked, open layout between kitchen dining and living rooms. Most bedrooms had their own bathroom. Kayaks are on property, with some lifejackets, but need replacing. The host answered all questions, provided necessary check-in and check-out information, and responded in a timely manner. I would rent this property again, or look at the other properties they manage in the area.

It's always great when the place you stay for vacation exceeds the description. The Driftwood home is clean, spacious, fully equipped, comfortable, and with stunning views from morning through night. It's situated in a unique area that is both remote from the crowds, but offers an ideal location if you want to ferry to Seattle, or take a nice drive to Mt. Ranier. You literally have a view of the water from every room, which I am already missing. Annie was also amazing and continuously checking in to make sure all was well. She quickly answered any questions we had, offered great suggestions, and made sure the trip was as perfect as can be. We are certain to return.

Truly spectacular!

We absolutely loved our stay in this stunning home in such a breathtaking setting on Puget Sound. Annie and Dave are lovely, kind and attentive hosts. The house is immaculate and so comfortable and the views from all the bedrooms and the downstairs kitchen and living spaces are incredible. We were able to see orcas, bald eagles, harbor seals, porpoises, fish, otter, deer and wildlife — all from the home. We felt totally safe on the end of a quiet street and did lots of walking and sightseeing in the area. People in Olalla and Gig Harbor are so nice and welcoming. The whole trip felt like living a real life storybook. Highly recommend this home and hosts.

Beautiful & Magical

It was a beautiful place to stay with 10 family members. We saw seals, otter, eagles and an Orca, which was just magical. The 2 upstairs rooms with king beds do not have window coverings, so although its a great view, you may want bring some eye masks. We bought all our food before we arrived, and later realized that there is a Coscto about 15 min away. We went to the Olalla Winery which was so lovely and a must see. Then we ventured into Gig Harbor, which was very fun also. A few members did use the kayak and we had brought a paddle board that they used on a calm day. The 2 decks were good hang out spaces. Overall, a wonderful trip and would recommend!

Simply Delighted!

Annie was spot on when she said our grandchildren would love her beautiful home and beach! Endless entertainment for the whole family steps from the kitchen - beachcombing for crabs, walking to the Olalla Market for treats at low tide, splashing in the community sand beach, and successful kayak fishing. We saw the eagle daily that nests close by, seals with their seal pups and a porpoise pod in the distance. Way cool. Thanks, Annie!

Beautiful location and great space to enjoy with family

We enjoyed our time at Driftwood beach. The house accommodated 6 adults and 5 kids easily! Beautiful view’s from the house! Both Annie and her husband were very responsive to the propane issue and got it resolved quickly! We loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone going to the Gig Harbor area!!

Great stay

Accomodations and location worked great for all of us. The trips to the beach were enjoyed by all. Saw seals daily but no whales. Would recommend this stay to anyone.

Absolutely Beautiful

We were a group of 4 couples and it was the perfect layout. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The common space had amazing views and had many areas for indoor and outdoor relaxation. This home is right on the water and from the upper bedrooms, at times it feels like you are literally floating on the water. This is a very comfortable space. You will love it. Once you get there, you will want to settle in and not go anywhere. But, there is also so much to see in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer. Our stay was four nights. We will be back!

Amazing Place for a Family Gathering

Driftwood Beach was a fantastic home. Very peaceful and relaxing. We stayed here with our family of 12 for 6 nights. The house has great indoor and outdoor spaces. The bedrooms are wonderful. Most with their own bathroom. The kitchen had everything that you would need. The views were gorgeous and we saw lots of seals, eagles, and other wildlife. We had fun playing on the beach and exploring. This truly is a great home to get away. Annie Jolie was great to answer any questions and quick to respond to any issues. It is a trip our family will remember.

Private Pacific NW Paradise

We had the perfect stay at Driftwood Beach. It truly is a slice of paradise. We rent beachfront homes all over the world and this place was truly special. You feel like you have your own beach and feel like you are sitting on a boat from any room and deck. We had a multigenerational group from little kids to elderly and it worked well(had to navigate a couple of steps but it was doable). The views were just spectacular. We all had some of the best sleep EVER- it was beyond peaceful and quiet. It was super easy to get to from Seattle/Bellevue- by car and even have the option to take the ferry if you want. We did both and the kiddos were thrilled! The kids loved watching for seals(no whales) and searching for little crabs on the beach. The water is super calm so you can easily watch the little ones from the deck while enjoying adult time. The owner was incredibly responsive and was eager to make our stay perfect. We will definitely be back!
