My brother and I booked these rooms for a visit to Yosemite. He is immunosuppressed, so cleanliness and accessibility were key factors. It wasn't clear to me from the VRBO ad that BOTH bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs (that creak quite a bit). So, he ended up having to sleep on the couch. But what was more disturbing was that most of the dishes that were in the cupboards were filthy. You couldn't tell initially, but we found plates with something like mustard/ketchup/sauce plastered on to the bottoms of the plates, the bowls were covered with grime, and when I washed them all, there was no drying rack. What was even more gross is that we found a used floss holder and floss laying on one of the made bed linens! Maybe that isn't a big deal to some, but to us, it was appalling. When we messaged about the cleanliness and not staying the next night, there was only one message from the owner that nothing was missing (referring to my frustration there was no drying rack for the hand-washed dishes). No other responses. Just automated messages. The setting is pleasant. The walls are thin. We paid 2 days and only stayed one.
