Was a very clean place to stay and loved that it was dog friendly. Great parking and hot tub was awesome to have. Felt very comfortable and at home. A few things around the cabin may need upgrade/fixed: the couch needs replaced middle seat is broken down. The back patio needs a board drilled down it's sticking up and I tripped on it. Only downside to vacation was a home across the street was being demolished/renovated and the workers started at 630am, so sleeping in was not in the cards.Beautiful place and would love to stay again. The family had a great time and everything was only a few minutes away. No lake access but a view of the lake.

We had a nice weekend getaway at Happy Landing! We traveled with our dog and two small children. The property was clean and comfortable. Very user friendly and conveniently located to lots of activities. We will be back!

We had a relaxing time here. It was just my husband and I and our dogs. The check in/out process was easy. The proximity to the lake was awesome. The parking is limited if you had multiple cars. We didn’t need to use ac or heat, just the ceiling fans and using the screen doors since the weather was pretty neutral.

Best Trip Ever

The cabin was perfect for our family. It was very clean. Great location. From my 10 year old son: “I got to try paddle boarding go for the first time and I loved it! All the people were nice! The food was like it was from Gordon Ramsay!”

We were very disappointed in the ac situation and how it was handled. Taylor Made could have tried to accommodate us, but they chose not to! Will not ever stay in one of their properties ever again!!

Girls Trip

My girl friends and I were needing a little trip away for a few days and we came across this gem. This was the perfect size for the 4 of us, even with 2 having to share one of the rooms. It was clean, and had all the basics thag you could need. The hot tub was great, the location was perfect - although I will say the photo of the house showing how close you are to the tuning was deceiving. We thought we could walk right through the back yard to the tubing hill and we were a lkttle disappointed to see a fence and massive hill. The only way to walk to the tubing at Wisp is down the road - which would be about 10-15 minutes.There were a lot of thermostats which made the temperature inconsistent throughout the house but we managed and got everything right based on the instructions that were left for us.All in all the place was great.

Winter Getaway

Had a nice stay at Happy Landing. Very close to Wisp and the amenities that McHenry has to offer. The home had comfortable furnishings with a well appointed kitchen and the hot tub was lovely! Don’t forget to bring your own trash bags/laundry/dishwasher detergent as the management company provides the minimal possible amount of each.

Family weekend getaway

Great place for a weekend with our teenagers. At the foot of Wisp and close drive to everything in McHemry. Everyone had their own bathrooms. Loved the hottub. Decorated beautifully for the holidays. We would love to return again. Would give it a five except the fireplace didn’t work when we got there but it was fixed the next morning.

Perfect for family of 4weekend in snow

This was a great house for a long weekend tubing and trekking through swallow falls in the snow. Still decorated for Christmas it was warm and cozy. Only issue was having 4 pairs of wet boots and a small entryway we were trying not to step on the carpet so another mat or rag towel would be good. Overall excellent in location and price.

AmaZing cabin

Such a cute and cozy cabin. It was decorated so nice for Christmas. Perfect location just by the slopes for snowboarding. We had so much fun and would love to come back.

Great Place!

We really enjoyed our stay at Happy Landing! The check in and check out process went smoothly. The property was very clean and fit 6 people comfortably. The home was decorated nicely and the place felt very cozy overall. It was also a fantastic location being close to just about everything you could want in the deep creek area! We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a great girls trip!

Very relaxing and quiet location. Great scenery

Easy to reserve. Company communication was excellent. Cleaning was poor. Dirty cobwebs everywhere. Kitchen floor dirty. Little more lighting and seating area was small in the fire ring area needed.

Close to skiing

Get Away

We enjoyed the property. Although it rained during our stay, we were able to enjoy the State Parks and the local restaurants. Deek Creek is always a great place to spend a relaxing week.

What a nice place to get away

We had a wonderful time at Happy Landing. The house had a well stocked kitchen that made preparing our meals a breeze. It was i. The middle of all the parks we wanted to see. My family and I enjoyed the fire pit. Thank you for being our home away from home for our Maryland getaway.

Would have been very nice except for some big issues

I was disappointed to hear that the dishwasher wasn’t working when they called me the day before we arrived. I assumed they didn’t have time to fix it before we arrived, but the guest book indicates it already wasn’t working as long ago as 3/25. I think they could have had it fixed by then. It wasn’t just broken, though, something - maybe the disposal - also leaked water all over the kitchen floor every time we hand washed dishes. Also, one of the toilets leaked the entire time. Both of the recliners in the living room are broken, one to the point of being unusable. And the hot tub water smells like mildew. These points were also all noted in the guest book entry from 3/25 as well. The cleaning crew is not very thorough at all. I used Clorox wipes to wipe everything down — and it all had a layer of filth on it. The light switches and the kitchen counters were particularly dirty. I’m not sure why they aren’t being particularly through during Covid. If it hadn’t been for the compilation of all of these things, it would have been a nice house. I recommend that you check and see if these things have been taken care of before booking. If they have been fixed, it will be a lovely house for a getaway.
