Clarification for the Gentle Reader of this Review: With due respect to this Guest, there are not "Lots" of rules posted. The House Rules are displayed in discrete 5x7 frames in each bedroom, as required by our Maui County B&B Permit. In addition, there are three other small informational signs posted: A/C directions; reminders to turn off fans and a/c when away, and what not to flush down our septic system toilet. Other Guests have given favorable comments regarding the labeled light switches, describing them as "thoughtful". We're always about Guest comfort and convenience. Mahalo for reading. :)

Beautiful property with amazing views. Great spot to use for home base adventures around Maui. You can even see the observatory on the top of Haleakala! Nothing was more then a few hours away. Great hosts with well stocked kitchen and supplies.

Beautiful view, beautiful property, sweet space with everything we needed and clear directions about how to live there! Fruit on the property delicious and fresh. Hosts, Robert and Stephanie, communicative and caring. Safe, secluded haven. Wonderful!

Clean, private and in a nice location that's a bit away from the crowds. Beautiful grounds with fruit trees, palms and geckos. We spent a week and despite the rough weather we really loved our time there. Quiet - the weather was the loudest thing there, the birds second. The home was stocked with everything needed, well organized and labeled. It was nice to see a basket of snacks and cereal for us to get started. There is no stove but the kitchen was quite usable. Internet was fine - my only problem was that I love to watch the local news in HI and due to the location of the home it can't receive broadcast TV. Unless your streaming services carry HI channels then you might have to use the local websites instead. The home is located a block away from the Jaws country store which has a few items, pizza and baked goods. Costco and Safeway are about 20 min away, depending on traffic. Mile marker "1" on the Hana Hwy is just around the corner. Haleakala Crater road starts just a few miles away. Good beaches nearby with turtles and surf. Calmer swimming beaches are on the south end of the island, about 45 min away. We loved it would definitely return. Thanks for the Aloha !

It's just that Haleakala Mountain blocks the signals. :( Areca Suite's Sling streaming service does have Hawaii local news on one station, KHON on Oahu. We have stayed here previously and it’s always be a great place to stay in Haiku. The hosts are responsive, nice and very accurate with their information. The suite is always clean and well equipped. Highly recommend this property if you are looking for something in the Haiku area.

Home was perfect for us. Clean, well stocked with everything we needed and very close to road to Hana. Hosts were very welcoming and easy to work with. They were kind enough to leave snacks and breakfast items for us. Washer and dryer inside were greatly appreciated. Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! It was peaceful and quiet! We slept amazing and our hosts were amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed plus some! They were very thorough with information and were happy to help in any way. They even left snacks, and coffee for us. You have everything you need for a perfect stay there. It’s also right near The Road to Hana, and beaches with turtles!! which was perfect! Thank you so much for a great experience! If we ever come back we will know where to stay for a relaxing and stress free trip!

Extremely clean, and so cozy! The location was GREAT for checking out north shore activities including the Road to Hana. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to stay, we loved picking oranges off the fruit trees each day for some fresh squeezed juice and the treats were such a handy little addition to get us settled in.

Great secluded spot! Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the resort crowd but not too far that it becomes a chore to go see everything! Hosts are very attentive and have obviously been doing this a while! 12/10…would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time to stay here. For us, it is preferred place to stay. It suites our needs perfectly. Robert is a great host and provides their guests with many extra amenities like coffee, banana bread, cereal and to go snacks. We love having breakfast each morning at the patio table under the porch viewing the West Maui Mountains on the left and the ocean to the bottom right. Such a peaceful and calm way to start each day.The rooms are comfortable and the bed is just the right firmness for a comfortable nights sleep.We already are planning to return next year!

Perfect, peaceful, quiet location especially for driving the Road to Hana. We stayed in Hana one night and returned to this location the following day. Our time was primarily here was primamily to sleep amd rest. We were out all day exploring and enjoyed coming "home" to this beautiful place. I am from Texas and thought l would need the AC running at night but it was not necessary. I slept like a baby with the windows open and fresh air. I truly enjoyed my stay.

We were here for 10 days on a yoga retreat. Tranquil Palms is a quiet, comfortable, wonderful location for your next Maui visit. They have beach chairs, umbrella, etc to borrow. We would definitely stay here again!

Friends Hawai’i trip

We enjoyed our stay at Tranquil Palms. The location was perfect for us. The view was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting outside in the mornings. Hosts were great communicators and provided everything to make our stay comfortable.

Amazing Property with GORGEOUS views!!

We found our new place to stay for when we come to North Shore Maui.Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast on the patio looking at the West Maui Mountains, the prettiest grouping of Banyan Trees and the ocean. From there we generally left for the day to hike and explore the beaches and trails. The kitchen was perfect for us. Others may want a Full Kitchen for all their meals. But it was definitely sufficient for most everything. We enjoyed walking the property and picking some of the fresh fruit right off the trees. It varies what is in season, but I would think that there would be something available year round.The unit was very clean and saw zero pests!! Thats impressive for living in a jungle!!The air conditioning was very adequate at night. We tried to be as judicious as possible when using it. Some nights we got by without it and some nights we used it. It just depends on the weather for the time of year you are there.Lastly, I underestimated the value and enjoyment that got from the Host supplied Snack Tray, Coffee and Banana Nut Bread. We enjoyed it all over the course of our stay. It was a nice benefit and look forward to enjoyong it on our next stay.

Very nice location

Very nice location close to the up country/Haleakala, road to Hana and everything else on the North shore of Maui. Great views of Molokai from the Lanai, hosts were very pleasant, and the accommodations were excellent. I will be staying there again .
