Thank you Laura and family for your time in writing this review. We are excited you enjoyed the condo, location and cleanliness of Margaux in The Julia Building, one of the original Thirteen Sisters of Julia, built in late 1820's. We do have cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and drinkware, however, when it comes to items like cooking oils, we do not leave items like that. It may have been contaminated by a previous guest, and we don't want any harm to your family. That is why we offer a grocery concierge service, we pick up your paid for, ordered groceries from a local market, and place them in the condo, fridge, freezer or pantry, so your items that you are used to will be there during your stay dates. That would include any plastic wrap, aluminum foils, spices or seasonings. We do leave each guest 6 bottles of water and 4 Gatorades, so you can start hydrating after traveling. As for the bathrooms, we leave minimum of 2 rolls of toilet tissue, travel size conditioning shampoo and two individually wrapped soaps. We also include what many vacation rentals do not, dishwasher tablets, a small bottle of Dawn dish detergent and sponge, 3 packs of French Market Coffee in 12 cup packets for the drip coffeemakers and a few filters, with a handful of non-dairy cream, a roll of paper towels, a few trash bags and Tide pods and fabric softener sheets, for when you eat out or in general you can wash any stains out of your clothes, so those don't have to go home dirty.

We cannot say enough about this location, being so close to the Superdome, Smoothie King Center Arena, even WWII Museum and Convention Center, if you needed to attend events at any of these locations. So, we are 8 blocks away from the French Quarter, but it not that far of a walk, and you are away from the constant chaos of Bourbon Street so get much needed rest and sleep, for all of the fun filled activities and adventures that abound in our beloved city, with or without Taylor Swift being here. Since these mattresses are memory foam mattresses, many people do not feel like they are as comfortable as they have at home. Thank you Margaret and traveling party for the 5 Star Review. This is a hidden gem of a spacious condo in the Arts & Warehouse District of New Orleans. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, but not a far walk to get there. Is there street noise from St. Charles Ave and the Green Streetcars, yes, usually between 3:30 PM and 7 PM as most of the downtown working crowds leave for the evening. But that is nothing compared to this being the perfect location during Mardi Gras, where the parades roll past this condo. We have plenty of restaurants, bars, bar & grills, from upscale to hole in the wall places to eat all around this neighborhood. You are right, this condo is always sold out during Carnival Season and Mardi Gras, usually a year in advance, because we are directly on the Uptown / St. Charles Parade Route. You can see and hear the parades whether they are daytime parades of excitement or night parades with all the colorful lights. We can gage how bustling the City is by how full the streetcars are so, yes, New Orleans in the spring is quite fun. Most guest are not in New Orleans for a week, which may be enough time to see, go, do and eat more than the typical 3 day weekender gets. We enjoyed hosting you. This is a great hidden gem in the Arts & Warehouse district and only 8 blocks to the Morial convention Center or Smoothie King Center Arena for concerts, basketball games or the Superdome for our beloved Saints' home games. This is a great hidden gem of a wonderful place to stay when in New Orleans, Essence Fest or Saints' Football games at the Superdome, as this condo is so very centrally located to all of these venues and French Quarter. So glad to hear that you liked the condo, décor, it still has all of that classis New Orleans charm of 1830's original exposed brink. We love the 2 restaurants to either side of The Julia, True Food Kitchen, but mostly The Little Easy for those great pressed po' boys and whatever adult beverage you choose, because it not a far walk to get back to the condo, if you have too many. Bryan, It saddens us to see you gave us 2 out of 5 Stars, seeing as you were not the guest that actually stayed in the condo. We did not know you had rented this condo for another person and when a different person called to check in, without knowing the condo unit number, it set off alarms to us. We did not receive any correspondences from you from the time you had made the reservation on 3/25/2022 until 5/6/2022, although we sent you 3 messages during that 2+ month span. Now that it has been revealed that you made this for your client, we understand that you were protecting that identity, as we were doing to the 20 condo owners and residents of this building. This is why we have a secure specific punch coded entry system. All of the check in information is sent to you via email and / or text message systems. Since this information was sent directly to you, and we had no idea of the actual guest that was to be staying in the condo, it was not our responsibility to convey that information about check in to an unnamed third party guest. We do work with insurance companies for third party reservation and have not had any issues for 8 years, but we know whom is staying in each condo. It is your choice to not book with VacayNOLA again and that is mutual, but we think it would have been fair to allow the guest that actually stayed to have input on the reviewing process of this condo.
