Aloha, Laurie: Mahalo so much for your wonderful feedback. I'm so glad you found the beds comfortable - I agree it's of prime importance in any rental - clean and comfortable!!! I love, too, that you were able to enjoy watching the turtles from the windows AND the backyard - our setting is truly unique and exceptional. And, thanks for your patience on check-out list. Yes, our housekeeper is VERY picky and spends four to five hours in the unit between EVERY guest just making sure to finish two to three loads of laundry and cleaning everything. Unfortunately, we have had folks 'dump' the linen cabinets and leave all the dishes filled, half-filled in the fridge with garbage everywhere so my check-out list is detailed. Only linens from last AM, all used dishes in dishwasher and dishwasher running AND all garbage out. Thank you for being so perceptive, too, about reason for detailed check-out list. We want to be able to make sure housekeeper can work her magic for EVERY incoming guest! We do have ac in each bedroom but the rest of the unit is fans only. Fortunately, guests are mostly out and about during the day so the AC to sleep is #1. Laurie - we really enjoyed having you as our guest and would be delighted to welcome you back any time. It gives me much joy to know that I've anticipated and set up our townhouse to be as welcoming and comfortable as possible for each guest. Prior to becoming an owner I rented condos and the ONE I rented that had all the basics (so I as a guest didn't have to purchase EVERYTHING!!) was the inspiration for how I wanted guests to 'find' my unit. And, super clean with comfortable beds and minimum decor (junk!) so that each guest can *nest* with plenty of open space for THEIR stuff while they are at *home* with us. And, the oceanfront location with an actual backyard plus the beach and pool, tennis courts right there makes it super nice, too. I can't wait to welcome you back and please contact me PRIOR to instant book so I can set up a repeat guest thank you! PS - I also tell guests that they can contact me in advance for tentative dates, too, just to make sure the unit is available when they expect to come. Aloha, Elaine & Bert (aka Gary): I want to extend the biggest MAHALO to both you and Bert for being the nicest, kindest, most graceful guests EVER. You walked into our unit and almost immediately found yourself helping us with what was soon identified as a shower pan leak. You allowed and supported EVERY effort to help us get the shower, literally, rebuilt during your stay. You gracefully worked around the construction in that one bathroom and NEVER, NOT EVEN ONCE, complained in any way. We think that we and any future owners that might be blessed to enjoy guests such as yourself will be lucky owners indeed. And, you let us know what you ENJOYED about our place, per your review, more than anything. We look forward to welcoming you back any time and it looks like we have plans to host you again. We're so happy that you enjoyed your stay and found it clean and spacious and I hope that our super unique backyard on the ocean and views from most rooms were also perfect for the location. :) And, I'm so glad you had the supplies you needed and that the in-room AC kept you comfortable. We will continue regular maintenance and adding projects as space allows to implement updates. It's always possible to make changes but EVERYTHING in Hawaii takes about three times longer than anywhere else plus it's VERY expensive like everything else in Hawaii! Until then, it will be clean, spacious with an exceptional location and everything most guests should need RIGHT on the ocean. Please come visit us again!! Sandy
