The gentleman I booked with was easy to work with. The property and the resort itself is very tired, carpet is dingy & dirty. We arrived at 3:47 at check in. The guard shack said we could not come in until 4 on the dot. We had driven for over 6 hours, I needed to use the restroom. He said I could go in, but do not stop at desk, It was not 4pm (3:47). I stopped at desk after my break, checked in. The maids told us room not ready as we tried to go in. We sat in the hallway for 1.5 hours til 5:30. There were 12 of us, so we came in 3 cars, but were only given 2 parking passes for a 4 bedroom unit. We were told we would have to park off property, no parking available, but saw plenty of empty spots. If a spot became available we could buy a pass. I called our host, he said we were only allowed 2, I asked how were 12 people supposed to ride in 2 cars, he sent us a pass in over flow parking. Our balcony had broken furniture & rails, they were boarded with plywood. We had 4 under age 5 & we were afraid to use the balcony. Tropical storm Bertha was coming, so they brought most furniture in, but zip tied some furniture to rails. The next morning, our host called very early with a complaint from the HOA saying we put furniture back outside & to get it back in immediately. I sent him a video of balcony assuring him that we had not moved anything. The pool area bar & grill once a drawing point, is now overpriced. This was our 6th season there, but will not return.
