We stayed for 9 days! We were even allowed to check in early and leave late because it hadn’t been rented! To say this place is amazing is a complete understatement! The attention to detail was amazing!!! The photos don’t do it justice! If you are looking for a quality quiet place this is it! It checks ALL the boxes! And you get so much more! Air fryer, crockpot etc you have all the kitchen amenities then some!! It’s beautifully decorated and extremely clean! Plenty of room for everyone! We had a family of 8, 6 adults 2 children! With plenty of privacy !!! There’s even a playroom for kids! The dock was perfect! Lots of outside seating, and it came with kayaks! It’s in a cove but deep water and not a ton of boat traffic, so you could swim and float without being afraid of boat traffic! It is so quiet and peaceful!! We will absolutely be back! Honestly we didn’t want to leave!

We had a wonderful time enjoying both the house , dock and water. The fish feeder blasts and fishing with worms were a big event for the whole family. The house is so thoughtfully planned and stocked with every essential for cooking, playing and peaceful sleeping. We have always been beach people, but after experiencing your house and the exciting boat ride, we may have to convert to being lake people. The best host ever.

We’ve stayed at Lake Wedowee for six years in a row, and this is the first house we’ve chosen to stay in twice—and that says a lot!Our group included six people spanning three generations, and this home was perfect for everyone. The shaded sitting area by the dock was one of our favorite spots to relax and enjoy the lake. We also loved spending time around the fire pit and on the back porch, both of which offer beautiful lake views. The beds were very comfortable, and everyone slept well. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals throughout our stay. Check-in was seamless, and the host provided excellent communication before and during our visit.This lake house has everything we look for in a family getaway, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

This was one of the few times I’ve stayed somewhere that was even nicer in person than it was in the photos. It was very clean, and you can tell that the owner really cares about the property. Everyone who stayed here was very happy with the comfort, size, layout, and amenities. We would happily stay here again!!

The property was really great and we had a wonderful weekend at the lake in Wedowee. Everything was very clean and well kept with easy access to the lake including 3 kayaks that we used to go out on the beautiful lake. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions and was easy to work with. There is a new house being built next door so there was a bit of noise from the work there, but that didn't detract much from the weekend overall.

It’s Perfect!

From the time you inquire about your dates to stay, to the time you check out and even afterwards, the host is amazing and so accommodating! It’s the perfect location and floor plan especially if you have people staying with you that would like their own space downstairs with each bedroom having it’s own full bathroom!

Review

The house was beautiful and full of everything you need to enjoy your stay. We came for Thanksgiving and the area was so rustic and beautiful, very relaxing. I imagine a summer visit with boating would be perfect!

Best Lake House Ever

This was the prettiest, cleanest and most well stocked home we have ever stayed in. The layout was perfect for us- master on main, guest loft upstairs and the two identical rooms downstairs with its own living area. The host was extremely communicative and made sure we were comfortable and knew all the codes before we even got there. The steps to the lake are slip proof and not too steep and the neighborhood was absolutely beautiful. The boat ramp being across the driveway was so convenient! Needless to say, I highly recommend this home!

Another great Memorial Day weekend at the lake!

This was our second stay with our family at this home and it did not disappoint! The grandkids could not get enough of the kayaks. The cove is quiet with no traffic so they had a blast kayaking and swimming. We tried the firepit this time and everyone enjoyed! The location of this home on the South end of the lake is the best. It is furnished nicely and comes with everything you will need for meal prep. Very open communication with the host. I highly recommend this home!

Beautiful, quiet, and exactly as advertised

We spent our Thanksgiving week here and would recommend it to anyone. LOVED the fire pit and views from the porch. Can’t wait to come back during the summer and enjoy again. Amazing communication with owner and this place has everything. Well stocked for whatever you want.

Great Lake Getaway!

This home was perfect for a family trip to the lake. Clean, well-kept and very well stocked with everything needed. The supplies in the kitchen were perfect for meal prep, everything needed was provided! The dock was perfect for swimming and boating, the children appreciated and enjoyed the kayaks. We hope to return soon!

Memories to last a lifetime

The pictures and description do NOT do justice to this place!!! Just beautiful and everything you could want for a perfect family location! With quite cold temperatures, we loved all the blankets tucked everywhere! The fire pit provided afternoon and evening family gatherings with the perfect atmosphere for conversation and, of course, S’MORES! The play room was a great surprise for the little ones and kayaking was a highlight for everyone!! This place is incredible! Even the cat from next door visited and gave us laughs! My only complaint has nothing to do with the house - the potholes on the last few miles were a bit of a challenge. Don’t let that stop you- it’s worth the aggravation!! We also got in a bit of Christmas shopping in Wedowee- amazing eclectic stores!! Thank you for many wonderful memories!

Peaceful Lakehouse

This lakehouse is easy to get to and easy to park your vehicle. The home is well-equipped…the owners have thought of everything! We especially enjoyed the backyard and dock. The cove is very peaceful.

Beautiful Cove Home

We stayed in this home for the October Talladega NASCAR Race and we truly enjoyed it! It has a fully stocked kitchen of gadgets! The house is spotless and the host is fantastic! Definitely worth you trying it out!

Wonderful weekend in Wedowee!

We were very impressed with the property. It had everything we needed and it was clear the owners really made an effort to make sure we had everything we needed. It was so nice to have all the kitchen essentials and little details like extra bar soap and paper towels and phone chargers by the beds. My kids loved having access to the kayaks and we loved not having to lug ours and our life jackets from home. The house was very clean and comfortable and in a great location. We were so thankful for the emails we received from John explaining about the area and where everything was in the house. My son caught more fish this weekend than he ever has, and he was thrilled! John even volunteered to allow us to check in early and stay late on check out day, which was so very nice and made our trip extra special because we got to spend more time with family we don't see often. Thank you John for a wonderful stay!

Love this place!

This was our second time back at the property, and the owners had made improvements from the last time. The owner is always very helpful and great to work with. We absolutely love the location on the lake, and it’s the perfect size house for our family. The kitchen is always stocked with helpful things like condiments and foil. Thanks for a great stay.

Great gem on Lake Wedowee

This property was the best we’ve ever stayed at on Lake Wedowee. Plenty of space and fully stocked. Easy access to the lake. The cove is quiet. Very little boat/jet ski traffic, making it nice for a family to enjoy even on the 4th of July. The owner was quick to respond to any questions.

Fantastic place to stay on Lake Wedowee

Excellent property, we will stay here again. Quiet cove, for swimming, yet close to large part of the lake, for playing and fishing, dock easily accommodated our 18’ fishing boat and 2 jet skis. Boat ramp right across the street was very convenient. House was super clean, well furnished, lots of space. Really enjoyed our time there.

A wonderful property!

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the property. This was probably the best appointed house we have ever rented. The appliances worked great, the dishware was clean, high quality, and there was plenty of them. We were able to find all the cookware we needed to prepare our meals. We were impressed by all the little things. There were tons of extra towels, wash clothes, sheets, blankets, etc. The house had several smart TVs with Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts setup, so plenty of options to watch. There was even a battery powered leaf blower available to clean off any leaves or spiders that arrived after we did. The owners really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we could need. We really enjoyed the way the house was decorated. I actually spent some time walking around the house enjoying the artwork in each of the rooms. They did a tremendous job decorating. All of the furniture was in great shape as well. Pretty much everything looks exactly like the pictures. The lake speaks for itself. It was clean, quiet, and we spent several days exploring it on the provided kayaks and enjoying all the other beautiful houses on the lake. The road leading up to the house was a little rough (well paved, but had to frequently dodge potholes) This is obviously out of the owners control, but once you are at the house, it is fabulous.

Great lake house. Beautiful views, nice bedrooms and kitchen. Loved the fact that all bedrooms had own bathroom. Lake was amazing. We will be back.

Beautiful, comfortable lake home

The home is beautiful, comfortable, and very well equipped! They had everything we needed to cook at home for 3 kids and 2 adults. John was an extremely communicative host and provided everything we needed to know. We loved the layout of the home, number of beds, baths, etc. Highly recommend a stay here!
