This is a beautiful home in an amazing location. The panoramic view from the living room is unmatched, and we changed some of our plans so we could spend more time at the house. The listing is very realistic about the amount of stairs - you definitely need to be able to safely navigate multiple flights to enjoy this home. Our group appreciated that the kitchen is well stocked with the things you need to actually cook. Our beds were very comfortable too. Everyone slept well! There is a friendly dog next door, and plenty of wildlife. We watched seabirds and seals from the back deck, and enjoyed a lovely low tide walk. Will definitely be coming back!

The property was nice, the view of the beach was fantastic, and the description was accurate. Climbing up and down the 76 steps to our car was especially difficult as I had heart surgery only a couple of months prior. We opted to end our vacation after three days as I wasn't feeling well even though we had paid for the entire week.

We had a last-minute change of plans for our anniversary trip and absolutely lucked out with this booking. What a magical home and location. We spent some time exploring Vashon, but there was really no need to leave the house. The setting alone made the stay memorable. The views are spectacular, and with the water just a few feet from the windows at high tide, you feel completely connected to the Sound. We watched orcas, seals, and countless birds from the house, and spent one evening kayaking right off the property. There was hardly a moment when we didn't look out the windows and find ourselves a little in awe.The house itself was charming, clean, and very comfortable, with comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. We also appreciated how peaceful and relaxed everything felt. Whether we were sitting by the windows watching the water, walking along the beach at low tide, or heading out for a paddle, it was an incredibly special place to spend a few days.We couldn't have asked for a better anniversary getaway and only wished we'd had more time there. We'd happily return.

This cottage is even more amazing in person! Absolutely beautiful view! So fun to beach comb with low tide. Super clean. Well stocked kitchen.

Great place on the water. Had everything you would need. Directions to location were excellent. Communication with host was excellent. We spent much of our time sitting outside by the water soaking up the sunshine, reading and sitting by the fire. We enjoyed visits from the neighbor dogs while outside. Neighbors were friendly. There are a lot of stairs from parking area down to house so be sure you are able to go up and down stairs with your luggage and any other items you bring with you. We had a great time. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Everything was awesome. The first morning we got up 5 of us had to take showers to get ready to go to bury my parents. I was first in the shower and it was spraying water all over the bathroom! I ran to the hardware store and bought a gasket, easy fix and everything worked out fine. ( To the owner, there are 2 extra gasket by the towels in case it happens again). Loved the place, Love the view, I would stay again.

Such a wonderful location and such an amazing view. The owners were very responsive to my questions and very accommodating. The neighbors on both sides were also very inviting and helpful. It’s a healthy steep set of stairs to come down to the property but well worth the effort. Lots of fun water toys at your disposal. Sadly time did not allow us to use any as the water was so inviting. Great patio to sit at and have a meal, cup of morning coffee or a glass of wine to watch the end of the day in peace and quiet. Good BBQ, large patio dining table and chairs and brand new Adirondack chairs to hang out on. Each room, though on the smallish side, were adequate for its purpose, with full size beds. Nice size bathroom with lots of towels. Kitchen has everything and the open space and large windows make it feel as if you are cooking outside. If our travels bring us back to Vashon Island this is a place we will come to again.

What a fantastic location and home! So clean and comfortable, the owners have thought of everything you need to feel right at home. Check in was easy, great WiFi access, comfortable sleeping arrangements. You absolutely can not beat the view! I will be returning for a longer stay.

The view is amazing

Wildlife watching in the window was amazing. We only stayed 2 nights and must have spent 12 hours just staring out the windows. The only drawback is you need to be fairly fit for the walk up and down to your vehicle but ir was fine foe us.. Really great location!!

Great Spot

We had a great time at the beach house. It's close to Burton and the Tahlequah ferry. The view feels like you're on a houseboat. Will come back.

On the water with a loaded kitchen

Okay, you’re on Vashon Island and you want to know more? Look at the title above. Now there’s much more but when you’re starting the day, sitting outside with a cup of fresh ground coffee (grinder provided by owner), having a seal come by to show you their fresh catch, you know your stay is going to go well. Have a day exploring and if you don’t want to try a local restaurant, season some steaks and vegetables and do some grilling. Did I mention that the gas grill and seasonings are part of this package? By seasonings, I’m not saying the usual salt and pepper but that cabinet was loaded. My favorite was a Parmesan, garlic, black truffle blend. We liked the relaxation of looking out into the water from the living room. The beds were comfortable and each room had an individual thermostat. Our child loved the downstairs bedroom, while we had plenty of room upstairs.Great communication with the owner, who takes pride in this home, we highly recommend it!

We Loved Our Winter Visit to Magnolia House

Over the holiday, our son and his girlfriend flew up from SF, and dear friends from Bellingham joined us on Vashon Is at this VRBO. We loved having the front-row view of the water--my husband and I are marine biologists--and the house worked out very well for the 6 of us. We did find the main access stairs a challenge (steep and sloped) for getting our gear to the house, but as soon I contacted the owners, they came up with a solution for us to use another, much safer stairs nearby. (Part of the issue was I misread their description of the stairs.) THe owners were responsive and lovely to work with. We will likely return!
