We enjoyed our stay here very much! The October weather was perfect for walks on the beach and sitting outside. The deck was set up beautifully with swing, loungers, and table and chairs. Every convenience was thought of in the beach house: shampoos, conditioners, soaps, hair dryers, detergents for laundry and dishwasher, games, toys, books, puzzles, toys and magazines. The kitchen is well equipped. A very cozy place with lots of space and very comfortable . I’m saving the best for last, the view. The view of the Gulf is truly like a first row view. Thank you Amanda. We had a lovely time!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property! The home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The layout was perfect for our family and we especially loved spending time on the outdoor patio.The location was fantastic, offering both a peaceful retreat and convenient access to the beach. Additionally, the communication with the host was flawless from start to finish—they provided clear check-in instructions and were incredibly responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Perfectly lovely space with all the necessities. Kitchen was well equipped. There were toys and beach towels galore. Sleeping spaces comfy. And did I mention the view was perfect for reading, eating for just lazing. It was a delightful week.

We were thrilled with our stay here! The host is extremely communicative, responsive and attentive to details. We loved the close proximity to the beach. There is an excellent view fro the balcony where we enjoyed all the lovely seating options including a relaxing swing, cushioned chaise lounge chairs and the dining table where we are out each night. There were so many puzzles and games available for the kids to play, a fully stocked kitchen and well appointed bedrooms. This beach area is not overly crowded and the house provides several lawn chairs, buggie boards and a massive collection of beach pales and shovels so no need to purchase! Plus a wagon to tote it all. We would absolutely book here again for our annual trip to Galveston.

Location is great. What was listed is what we got. Plenty of beach towels, toys, and chairs. Fully stocked kitchen, grill, plenty of towels, 2 king beds with in suites, bunk room with additional full bathroom in hallway. Washer and dryer. Home away from home. Very clean.

We loved this house! There were so many added benefits that made our family’s trip great such as all the beach essentials (chairs, sand toys, ect,). They even included beach towels, which we didn’t use, but it was a nice touch. Thanks for the great vacation!

This property is in a great location to easily walk to the beach. The front porch has a great view! The house is clean and has a well stocked kitchen. The set up is nice having two rooms with private bathrooms and my kids enjoy the bunkbeds with the trundle below.

Family Vacation

We stayed here for our son's beach soccer tournament. We loved that we were on the quiet, laid-back side of town. The really good restaurants are on the other side of town but we were willing to drive for quality options. The house was well-stocked with everything & the wagon, chairs and beach toys were a hige plus to have available to use. We also loved how easy/quick it was to walk out to the beach. We had a couple of small issues come up that were quickly fixed, even thoigh the host was traveling in another country. Definitely the best experience we've had with a host. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything about our stay was great. The house had everything we needed, the owner replied promptly if I had any questions, and the short walk across the street to the beach was perfect for our family.

Nice house on the beach… not the cleanest

The location of the house was exactly as described & check-in was super simple w the code provided by the owner. The kitchen was fully stocked & the bed n the main master suite was soft & comfy. The high traffic areas of the house appeared clean, but u could definitely tell the housekeeper was working off a checklist between stays & that was all that was being touched. Anything not on that list (the blinds, the ceiling fans, the slats on all the closet doors, the vents, the decor, & pretty much any other horizontal surface that was not the tables, counters, or nightstands) was covered in a thick layer of dust & grime. Not like it had just been missed in the last cleaning, it had clearly been a while. One of the reasons we book Vrbo houses is the access to a washer & dryer. The washer was filthy, moldy, & rusty both inside & out. I understand not wanting to put a 2000 washer in just to have people ruin it w sand covered clothes & towels, but this machine looked like it had lived on someone’s porch at some point. They did provide plenty of towels & linens, but unfortunately if they were being washed on site they were not getting cleaned very well in that machine. The front porch was nice in the evenings but the cushions on the swing needed to be replaced, 2 were missing & the others had rust on them. The OD shower was buried behind a couple dozen really rusted out beach chairs that IMO were not safe to use. On Fri & Sat the dead-end street filled w parked cars of beachgoers.

With nearly 200 bookings since 2019, we’ve been fortunate to host so many wonderful guests, and this is the first time anyone has described our home in quite the way you did. That said, we understand that some people travel with different expectations — and sometimes, a different mindset — and we respect that. We do take all feedback seriously, and we’ll definitely revisit our cleaning checklist and take a look at the items you mentioned. We just wish we’d had the chance to address these things during your stay, as we’re always happy to help in real time. It’s also unfortunate to hear that the beach location and beachgoers were a downside for you, as most guests come specifically to enjoy that energy and atmosphere. But of course, not every environment suits every traveler. While our home may not have been the perfect fit for you, we hope you still found a few moments to relax and enjoy the oceanfront views and peaceful surroundings that so many of our guests have loved.
